I would like to encourage every tax payer to read a book called the Fair Tax Plan, and then contact their congress men and women to create legislation to enact this plan. This is not a new idea and I have been a big fan for years, but every day it becomes more and more relevant due to the class warfare and the economy in this Country.

It is more than obvious that some in the Big Business do not directly suffer the consequences of their actions. The proof of this began in 2007 when 50% of the Exxon Valdez oil spill, 2 decades old, was dumped on taxpayers. The proof of this is the number of financial settlements on companies like Glaxo and big banks like JP Morgan Chase. Their tactic is to recoup their losses by simply jacking prices of their goods and services until the settlement or fine is paid for by consumers first and taxpayers second. This does not in any way force those who make these fraudulent decisions to suffer the consequences of their actions. But, a petition to pass a law that disallows these businesses to raise their prices or accept tax subsidies until these fines or settlements are paid in full is the only way taxpayers and consumers can put the brakes on this kind of corruption.

I am disabled and use marijuana to help endure the everyday pain that I experience. If I get caught with pot, ( small quantity) I will probably get a fine. Since fine money isn't in my budget I'll have to do jail time. If pot were legal the gov. would receive the tax dollars, control 90% + of sales, wipeout the smugleing of pot into the US, free up prision space, and have extra police to focus on other crimes. What are the cons? Control it like alcohol.

It is time to legalize marijuana. It is a racial issue. Set black men free from being jailed for providing medicine to people who need it.It is a social issue. Alcohol and meth and coke are evil. They break up families. My daughter needs her dad. Marijuana users need to chill. Put money used to jail people into programs for people to get off drugs, etc.
