Hold bank CEOs accountableMy son and his wife were unable to have their bank (PNC) lower their interest rate, but instead their monthly payment were raised. The scandal at Barclay's in London which involves American banks affected all of our interest rates since 2005 - perhaps even earlier. When is the Congress going to hold the top officers of banks legally responsible, instead of treating them deferentially, as they recently did when Robert Diamond testified.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Susan Giesel

SUPPORT YOUR COUNTY SHERIFFThe law assigns ALL POWER & AUTHORITY (over and above the Governor & President) to your county Sheriff, who is your elected official. The Sheriff has the POWER & AUTHORITY to prevent entry & rejection of all Federal agents operating in any capacity. Citizens need to know the Feds or their representitives can not enter your county to commit illegal acts. Sheriffs MUST inform the state & federal governents of this. End the Banking Culture of Impunity: Investigate, Prosecute and IncarcerateWe the People grow weary of waiting for justice to be served to the financial institutions who brought our nation to its knees with the 2007-08 economic collapse from which they recovered immediately with our tax bailout money while the people are continuing to lose jobs, homes and savings with no end in sight; We demand action on the part of Congress and the White House to end the culture of impunity under which the financial institutions continue to operate as evidenced by: 1. The recent $9 billion loss incurred by JPMorgan Chase in the same kind of risky gambling with the People’s money that brought us the Great Recession; 2. The unfolding London Interbank Offered Rate (LIBOR) rigging scandal in which sixteen global banks are alleged to have colluded to set the international interest rate from which flow interest rates for trillions of dollars of loans worldwide, including credit card debt, mortgages, student debt and other indebtedness too numerous to name; We demand the end of the business-as-usual practice of federal investigations of financial crimes which result in a relatively small fine which the financial institutions simply consider a cost of doing business.4,937 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by stephanie hampton

Eliminating the mental health stigma in America.Mental illness has been stigmatized in America for several years. Even today, with all the bills that have been passed to eliminate it's stigma and the protesting done in efforts to see that it be treated the same as a physical illness, it still continues to be a topic that serves as something people are scared or make fun of. Those who have suffered or continue to suffer from something that isn't there fault are being ridiculed and made seem like they are different than everyone else. Well it's time to erase the judgement and fear surrounding mental illness. We need to create programs that teach children and young adults that having a metal illness isn't a joke. It is a serious disease that should not be made fun of. We need to educate to eliminate stigma!13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Melissa Vacchiano

Prosecute employees of GlaxoSmithKline on criminal fraud chargesU.K.-based pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), a corporate "person" in the eyes of the federal government (http://blog.timesunion.com/occupyalbany/corporations-are-people/394/), has pleaded guilty to criminal charges in what even the mainstream media is calling the largest healthcare fraud case in history. And though the company is having to fork over $3 billion in collective fines for its illegal activity, no actual GSK employees or executives are being held personally responsible for their crimes. Legalize MarijuanaMany people have been arrested and imprisoned for this victimless crime. Additionally legalization allows for regulation and taxation which would add public safety and federal budget concerns to the situations improved by such an action.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Hufnagel

Save Chatfield State ParkWater providers want to store additional water, to which they have very junior rights, in Chatfield Reservoir. The water will be there maybe 3 years in 10 but the heart of the park - riparian forests and wetlands - will be cleared out to make room for the occasional year's water. Many recreational facilities will be moved but will be far from the water in most years. Fishing, hiking, biking, ballooning and other activities will be affected. There are alternatives less damaging to the State Park but they haven't been seriously considered.1,830 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Polly Reetz

Romney's FinancesMitt Romney should give a full disclosure of his taxes and financial holdings, just as did his father, George, when he ran for president. Voters deserve an honest disclosure. Mitt's support for reduced taxes for the rich and corporate power make this a serious issue2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bruce Noll
