  • Jobs for Americans
I am 63 and have been challenged and affected by recessions a few times in my life, my husband too. Now that we are passed that stage doesn't mean we don't care. We want good jobs for all Americans and especially for the young people coming up so that they can finish school, get married, start families if they wish. This truly is about the middle class choosing a good life over despair. Please stand together and ask Congress and the Senate to pass the American Jobs Act that President Obama sent to them 10 months ago.

  • Our out of control congress
Our congress has done nothing to help our nations decline. It is self serving and out of control . We need a leadership that has compassion for the struggles of our working class , an edcution that is superior instead of failing , and a system that meets our senior citizens needs . there is a saying theres to many chiefs and not enough indians . so eliminate the congress we now have and put the govennors of each state to work , maybe then they won't have time to play around on tax payers money .

  • 10% flat Tax - no loop holes
The Tax Code is too complicated to understand. Corporations have an advantage over middle class America because they maintain a staff of lawyers and certified public accountants to avoid paying taxes.

  • Preserve Homes and Create Good Jobs
Public Housing in MN needs a minimum of $400 million in repairs and renovation around the state. Low income seniors, disabled persons, families and refugees are living in subsidized housing in every MN county that was constructed 40-50 years ago and is falling apart. If this is housing is allowed to continue to deteriorate, it will be impossible to afford to replace it at today's cost. Many low-income people would face homelessness as these are homes where they pay rent at 30% of their income, whatever that is, sometimes only social security. Repairing this housing would create about 7,000 new construction jobs and save thousands of on-going public housing mainentance and housing service jobs in Minnesota. Bonding for public housing repair is a critical homelessness prevention, job creating, and statewide infrastructure investment in every MN county that we cannot afford to neglect. Everyone knows a Minnesotan who lives in this housing or would be homeless. Everyone in MN knows a construction worker who needs to go back to work.

  • Re-evaluate the purging of biskiits.livejournal.com
This is address to the readers of danica, an online fiction writer, who owned biskiits.livejournal.com A background on danica: She brought to us the wonderful and well crafted Best I Ever Had, Chicharong Flower, The Prince's Homecoming, 7 Days: Menelli's Toughest Mission and numerous other original fictions and fan fictions. The issue: Last June 14, 2012, as I was informed, biskiits.livejournal.com was purged due to inappropriate content as reported by four anonymous reports. danica, as she claimed in her last entry, was given a mere forty-eight hours to back up everything in her community. We, her loyal readers, know that she never once wrote any NC-17 stories, whether involving sexual themes or violent themes. It is proven then that the administrators of livejournal did not make an effort to check and read each entry she submitted for the last seven years as they only relied on the reports without confirming if those were reliable or not. I emailed danica and we are yet to receive her reply. A word I got from her beta-reader, Quinn, confirmed that: 'She will reupload everything she posted before but she's still looking for a good site to host them. She's busy with her school so it's actually least of her priorities.' As a return of gratitude, let us appeal to the administrators of livejournal to re-evaluate their decision. Please follow this format: For the first name: Type in your livejournal account name For the last name: Type livejournal.com Let us make our voices be heard.

  • US Navy Save Our Whales and Dolphins
It is incomprehensible that underwater testing carried out by the navy will be allowed knowing the damage it will do to our precious whale and dolphin populations. We as a nation and society in general are cutting off our noses to spite our faces. Please use a safer form of testing and abandon this current project now!

  • "Main Street" Petitions Congress
A letter writing campaign by ordinary citizens, asking legislators to sign a Pledge of Reform, prior to the 2012 elections, could remove the dysfunction and negative influence of money from our government. Public participation with the COMMITTEE TO REFORM CONGRESS at www.ctrc.us/ could force Congress to reform.
