Today, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) announced they are going to work towards a ban of pads and chains on the Tennessee Walking Horse. Two leading veterinary groups called for a ban on the use of devices and training methods that intentionally inflict pain on tennessee walking horses to accentuate the horses' high steps, a practice known as soring.

Encourage the PGA to take action against uncouth persons in the gallery who lack golf etiquette and common manners and shout at the players of golf tournaments. These behaviors cause the offending gallery members to appear as ignorant drunken miscreants and reflects poorly on the gallery members as a whole. This behavior also interferes in the least with the pleasure of the other observers and at the worst disrupts the concentration of the golfers themselves.

According to U.S. Navy estimates, the use of high frequency underwater sound for testing in Hawaii, the California and Atlantic Coasts, and the Gulf of Mexico will deafen more than 15,900 whales and dolphins and kill 1,800 more over the next 5 years. Whales and dolphins depend on sound to navigate and live. Your signature and comment could stop this Naval program, potentially saving the lives of these ocean creatures.

This is a petition opposing Michigan House Bills 5669, 5670, 5671 and 5672, also known as Medical Malpractice Reform Bills or Patients First Reform Package. The most concerning aspect of this reform package is House Bill 5670, which states in part that an individual will not be found liable for medical malpractice if the individual "exercises professional judgment if the person acts with a reasonable and good-faith belief that the person's conduct is both well-founded in medicine and in the best interest of the patient". As patients we trust and hold our physicians to high standards and believe that they follow well-established standards of medical care. This provision would set aside those standards of care for a highly subjective determination of the "reasonableness" of conduct based upon it being "well-founded in medicine" as well as "in the best interests of the patient". This bill allows doctors to avoid meritorious lawsuits, and it is tantamount to saying, ‘I’m a good driver, I didn’t mean to hurt anyone and I was using my best judgment’ after causing a car accident.' What matters is whether you caused the accident.

This petition is to clearly state the opposition of the proposed GAS STATION on Glenwood Rd. in the Glenmar, Meadowdale, and other community associations in the South DeKalb area. The property is located on the corner of Glenmar and Glenwood Rd. (old carwash). We now have over twenty (20) establishments in our neighborhood that sales alcohol, drug paraphernalia, (Black & Mild) single cigarettes, etc. As a result of these businesses the Status of Health in our Neighborhood has suffered long enough.

Stop American company's from having product's made over seas. If this products are made in this country (America), this will creat jobs her at home.
