As RFK Jr. continues his irresponsible spoiler campaign for president, more concerning and odd information continues to surface about his track record. This most recent confession is just one of many that calls into question RFK Jr.’s judgment and his ability to put the American people first. It’s clear: he is deeply unfit to serve as president.  RFK Jr. has been lying about this incident for ten years. And he didn't even confess until he was caught by a journalist. RFK Jr. finally disclosed that he dumped a dead bear cub carcass in Central Park along with an old bicycle to make it look like it had been hit by a cyclist. The incident sparked widespread concern and confusion in the morning when it was discovered. It led to costly work by multiple city and state agencies, and added to a culture of fear around cycling and the safety of New York City's parks. RFK Jr. watched all of this happen due to his lies, and still refused to come forward.  RFK Jr. would have been 60 years old at the time—a full grown adult who knew what he was doing was a crime. He even admitted being worried, stating his prints  “were all over that bike.”  RFK Jr. wants to paint this incident as a harmless prank, but when it occurred it was a mystery that concerned New York City residents and launched NYPD investigations. Also, a team had to come in and clean up the health hazard RFK Jr. dumped in the public city park. RFK Jr. is not above the law and should be held responsible for the wasted time and resources his recklessness cost New York taxpayers.  That’s why we’re urging city officials to investigate RFK Jr.’s crime and hold him financially accountable!

This issue is important because having clean water to drink and bathe in is a basic human need. 

We must all do what we can to fight climate change and greenwashing. Let the Dodgers know they can play a big, positive role.

The big cats are trapped in small dog pens with nothing to keep them entertained. The alligators are on top of each other because they have no room to move around. The baby alligators are hit and shaken around in order to get them to “behave” when people tape their mouths shut and hold them upside down by their tails.

Project 2025 would slash government funding for numerous programs. It would dramatically cut funding for environmental protection and give a future White House unchecked power to hurt working people, cut Social Security by raising the retirement age, fire civil servants and replace them with presidential loyalists, eliminate abortion, and roll back our rights.  Project 2025 would also block many of the programs that help fight discrimination in our communities.  The outages have spanned some of the hottest days ever recorded in the region, and they have affected thousands of residents, including a large assisted living facility. Dominion is disrupting the lives and threatening the health of its rate payers. We deserve better. We deserve information, compensation, and an explanation! 

This election 41 million Gen Zers will be eligible to vote, including 8 million new voters. Not only that, but 3.5 million adults of voting age have been naturalized in the U.S. since the last presidential election. That’s a significant number of people who can be mobilized to vote this election.  Celebrities like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift can use their platforms to reach voters in ways that are difficult for politicians to. Beyoncé has 311 million followers and Taylor Swift has 284 million followers on Instagram alone! And touring musicians—with tens of thousands attendees—can literally use their platform to register voters and get them energized to elect Kamala Harris for president.  We’re going up against Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans, so the stakes could not be higher. Last presidential election was record breaking for voter turnout, with nearly 66% of the population casting a ballot. Deepfakes pose a significant threat to democracy as we know it. It's the FEC’s job to make sure our democracy and elections remain untainted from exactly these kinds of threats and the FCC’s job to ensure that the way people are engaged with is clear and accurate on digital and radio platforms.  There are massive elections year this year, House races, Senate races and the Presidential race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. A deceptive, AI-generated deepfake could swing these pivotal races in 2024. Or an onslaught of deepfakes could leave voters completely at a loss as to what’s real and what’s not. For the public to continue to trust and believe in institutions, this cannot happen.  The integrity of our elections is at stake. It's clear that we cannot assume people will try to speak to the American people authentically and honestly, because we've already been at the mercy of Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans who refuse to accept election results that are not in their favor. The FEC needs to take substantial action and ban deepfakes on social media to counteract bad actors before our nation's consequential elections in 2024.

We believe that the Boyne River, a public trust resource, deserves better stewardship. The negligent handling of the dam has already caused significant harm to the river’s ecosystem and wildlife. Denying the permit application is a necessary step to protect and restore the health of the Boyne River. We call on FERC to take immediate action and deny Boyne Mountain Resort’s current permit application.

This summer, travelers nationwide have experienced firsthand how record-breaking heat debilitates our transportation systems. In the Northeast, Amtrak riders in the country’s busiest transit hub found themselves stranded for hours from delays due to speed restrictions. Rising temperatures are also causing outdoor rail tracks to deform, sparking brush fires on tracks, and putting further strain on power systems.  The climate crisis isn’t going anywhere, and with so many people relying on our mass transit systems to get to work, make it to doctor’s appointments, and spend time with family, it’s crucial that our transportation infrastructure can operate smoothly and safely under extreme heat. Sign the petition to urge Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg to center climate resiliency in his transportation agenda.

The United States does not have a king. Yet the Supreme Court's recent unprecedented and outrageous ruling, affirmed by six conservative justices, has given American presidents broad immunity from criminal prosecution—granting presidents the kind of extraordinary power that no one should have in a democracy. Now Democrats are fighting back. House Democrats have introduced a constitutional amendment to reverse the Supreme Court’s ruling that grants presidential immunity. Senate Democrats introduced the "No Kings Act," legislation that would make it clear that presidents do not have immunity for criminal actions. And in a sweeping set of recommendations to address Supreme Court corruption, President Biden has proposed the No One Is Above the Law amendment, that states that the Constitution does not confer any immunity from federal criminal indictment, trial, conviction, or sentencing by virtue of having previously served as President.  When the Supreme Court has made disastrous rulings throughout history, it has fallen to the people and our elected representatives to correct the course of our nation—as we have with ending slavery, expanding voting rights, imposing term limits on the presidency, and so much more. Now it is incumbent upon leaders of both parties to right this wrong by pursuing an amendment to our Constitution to reaffirm that no one is above the law. The consequences of this ruling are grave. First, it halted the remaining three trials against Trump, denying the American people verdicts ahead of November’s election, and interfered with the sentencing after being convicted on 34 felony counts in New York. It also sets a dangerous precedent and opens the door for authoritarian rule, setting Trump up for consolidating power to do whatever he wants without any repercussions should he be reelected.  Reversing the court's ruling will require a strong majority of support in both the House and the Senate that we don’t currently have. But while we are working to elect Democrats up and down the ballot to make this possible, it's imperative that we show our lawmakers that there is a groundswell of support for them to reverse the court's dangerous ruling. It's a critical step toward preserving our democracy and freedoms.  Trump wants one set of rules for himself and another for the rest of us.
