• Dept of Defense-ID Card Needed
I am a civilian working for DoD in Korea. I am in a same-sex marriage and even though my employer signed the paperwork for my spouse to receive an ID for benefits like using the PX and commissary, DoD will not issue it. This is discrimination against gays. My spouse cannot shop with me on base to buy food for us and to buy his personal things. I want DoD to end discrimination against gays and lesbians.

  • Patriotism Over Politics
Any remark made by a politician that undermines the integrity of the office of the presidency of the United States should be subject to censorship. Remarks should be made that are consistent with the respect of the office and any disagreement should be made based on substance only. No president, Democrat or Republican, of our great nation, should be subject to name-calling, such as "Socialist", "Out of touch", etc...but rather, politicians should state their oppositions based upon their arguable positions only so that other countries know that we are patriotic Americans first and republicans and democrats secondarily.

  • Reverse Citizens United
This ruling by the Supreme Court has given the voting process over to the 1% who own the major corporations and funnel money to the candidate and cause of their choice. Public funding is the answer to this problem

  • Raises
Give the residents of a city the right to vote on raises for Mayor, City Councilmen. Last two time the City Council of Westfield indiana has given the Mayor a 10% raise which makes him the second highest paid Mayor in Indiana for the city of population of 29 thousand. Also the City Council giving themselves a 15% raise. I think it should be the residents of Westfield who should dicide on these raises.

  • Double postage only for junk mail!
Instead of raising postage prices for regular people to send letters, let's cut down on junk mail (helping the environment AND ridding ourselves of an annoyance) by charging double postage for junk mail! This could be instituted easily by simply forcing all postage machines to charge double the normal postage rate, since any mass mailings would require automated machines (not licking stamps and placing by hand).

  • Repeal term limits in Missouri
Missouri, we need legislators that aren't just in it for a few years and don't understand how to work together for the good of our state. We rank near the bottom in many areas and Missourians deserve more.

  • Cessation of Senior Prank
The most recent senior "prank" was ill-timed, ill-planned and without the supervision of police, extremely dangerous to the Spotswood High School community. This "prank" should be the last of its kind that is condoned by the school administration.

  • BAN OIL FRACKING IN CALIFORNIA NOW
The Oil Industry uses fracturing techniques (fracking) that uses chemicals and various liquids under extremely high pressure to be injected into the ground to cause 'fractures' in the earth in order to get more oil. It is unregulated and proven unsafe. It must be banned in order to protect our homes and communities.

  • Sales tax on feminine hygiene products
Feminine hygiene products are taxed in many states. Placing a sales tax on feminine hygiene products is not fair or logical. These are not a luxury purchase. If women were unable to purchase these items at the store, they would not have an alternate non-luxury product readily at their disposal. Personally, I would not have any idea how I was supposed to deal with this monthly medical need without purchasing needed hygiene products from the store. I feel this tax is outdated ( @ 100 years outdated ) and is an unfair biased tax placed on only a portion of the population.

  • Remove Cannabis/Hemp from Schedule 1 of CSA
The plant utilized by mankind for thousands of years was demonized in a propaganda campaign that has cost society greatly and in many ways for 75 years, despite growing scientific evidence of its healthful benefits. To continue lying to the public by suggesting no medicinal benefit is at the least, morally corrupt. To be arresting patients should be criminal. Please fix this mess with one simple step. Remove from Schedule 1 at the least. End the prohibition and you might still win in November.
