• Bring back the Remix (Tropical Sprite Remix)
This petition is about convincing coke that there is still demand for Tropical Sprite Remix. If we can show coke that there is demand, it would be a mistake if it wasn't re-introduced into there product line-up.

  • The NRA Supports gun violence
The NRA wants every U.S citizen should be armed. They want to turn the clock back to the wild wild west. How many innocent children and people die each year because of this Gun mentality? Who hunts with a hand gun or and AK47.

  • Feed Poor Children or Slaughter Wildlife?
It is an outrage that our legislators, in their attempts to reduce the federal budget, seem to be able to justify the continued spending of millions of dollars on the decimation of our nation's wildlife but cannot seem to justify the spending of millions of dollars on school lunches for the poorest children in our nation.

  • Fix the salaries of politicians at the median US salary
The median salary is a livable income. Setting politicians' (congressmen, senators, cabinet members, etc.) salary at that rate makes it so that they actually take an interest in helping the nation, rather than just claiming that they do. Taking the median rather than the average makes it so that they can't raise their own wages by raising the earnings of the very rich. It forces them to take an interest in making everybody richer, without redistributing wealth.

  • Fukushima Threatens Everyone in the Northern Hemisphere
Please vote to urge President Obama and the UN to take immediate action, as requested by Japanese nuclear experts and concerned citizens, to secure the spent fuel rod pool at Fukushima, before it spews out 85 times the radiation of Chernobyl worldwide! ‎"We Japanese civil organizations express our deepest concern that our government does not inform its citizens about the extent of risk of the Fukushima Daiichi Unit 4 spent nuclear fuel pool. Given the fact that collapse of this pool could potentially lead to catastrophic consequences with worldwide implications, what the Japanese government should be doing as a responsible member of the international community is to avoid any further disaster by mobilizing all the wisdom and the means available in order to stabilize this spent nuclear fuel. It is clearly evident that Fukushima Daiichi Unit 4 spent nuclear fuel pool is no longer a Japanese issue but an international issue with potentially serious consequences. Therefore, it is imperative for the Japanese government and the international community to work together on this crisis before it becomes too late. We are appealing to the United Nations to help Japan and the planet in order to prevent the irreversible consequences of a catastrophe that could affect generations to come." http://fukushima.greenaction-japan.org/2012/05/01/an-urgent-request-on-un-intervention-to-stabilize-the-fukushima-unit-4-spent-nuclear-fuel/

  • Enough Rush on KWTO
Rush Limbaugh's reprehensible attack on Sandra Fluke, the college student who spoke to Congress about women's reproductive rights, calling her a slut and a prostitute and asking her to make a sex video, should be the end of his on-air career. Let's convince KWTO to take Limbaugh off the air in Springfield, Missouri!

  • RAPE: A HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION
Women are the source of life. We should be respected and treeasured. Rape must stop. It steals the soul and trust of a woman. It must NOT be treated lightly. It is a human rights violation and a hate crime. It is rediculous that in 2012 the world is still using women and children as a tool of war! Raping women to insult the other side. Women are human beings...NOT tools of war.

  • Two Term Limit For Congress Constitutional Amendment
It is very apparent that the ability for members of Congress to serve multiple and consecutive terms has proven not to be beneficial for the American people. Many of them today use this ability for their personal financial and political party gain instead of being representatives of the majority of the people. Therefore, I firmly believe it's time for a change. A two consecutive term limit seems to work very well for the office of president. Why not apply this same condition to members of Congress?

  • move the democratic convention out of NC
North Carolina voted to ban gay marriage and even civil unions one day before President Obama announced his support for gay marriage. Having the Democratic convention in NC in September is not the way to follow up the President's proclamation. Because the convention brings in so much money for the state it's held in, it doesn't make sense to bankroll a state that opposes what most Democrats stand for. We probably won't win NC anyway, so let's go to Ohio, or Michigan, or Massachusetts, or just about anywhere but NC.

  • Stop Cox Communications Virginia Cable Monopoly
Cox is the only cable company that offers cable in most of the state of Virginia. They raise prices every 2 years and bill you a month in advance. If you owe a bill for $100 a month they will bill you $200 and add a $5.00 late fee for each month if you do not pay the entire amount. Virginia legislators are so busy raising the prices on every state provided necessity while reducing money for big business in this state that is is very difficult for anyone to live comfortably. Regulating Cox would be a good start.
