Dow Chemical used to manufacture Agent Orange, an herbicide and defoliant, for use in the Vietnam War. The nation of Vietnam estimates that 400,000 people were sickened by this long-lasting chemical, while 500,000 children with birth defects were born to exposed parents. Now, Dow is asking the USDA to approve genetically modified corn that's resistant to Agent Orange. What's worse, this corn is being offered to replace corn resistant to pesticides like RoundUp. Intense RoundUp use has created superweeds that RoundUp can't kill. So now they need something different to spray on the crops, at least for a while, and they want to try making the food we eat resistant to Agent Orange, which seems like a terrible, goddamn idea.

What I want them to do is to hold hearings, investigations and penalize Wall Street Market Manipulators who are speculating, price gouging, engaging in collusion in order to keep the price of gasoline artificially high at the gasoline pump. I am asking The United States Congress and the White House to also take testimony from some of the 99% of consumers who are suffering because of the price of gasoline is too expensive, and for the federal government to begin releasing gasoline from the oil reserves in order to decrease the cost of gasoline at the pump.

I would like to start a petition to encourage individuals to register any vehicle for a flat fee, maximum amount of $ 500.00 per vehicle with overdue registration of 2 years or more. It would give an incentive to individuals to bring current any past due or expired registeration. This can be done by offering amnestiy as a one time opportunity to register a vehicle that was too far behind and nearly impossible to abide by the vehicle registration laws. The procedes will provide a windfall for California and the education system without raising a single tax, in fact just the opposite effect as lowering taxes and business operating expenses. Once a party brings current an expired Registeration, it is highly likely that they will pay all future Registeration fees before they spiral out of sight again. So in short it guarantees future revenues for the State of California as well. Someone please help me get this idea to to desk of Governor Jerry Brown and fellow democrat.

My petition is about forcing truth in broadcasting. The recent reporting about social securuity was the straw that broke the camel's back with me. We need truth to make informed decisions. we need truth to ensure our democracy is maintained and sustained.

Legitimate pain patients in Florida and states across the nation are having difficulties getting their medications filled. Pharmacies are profiling and discrimination is happening against pain patients. The Institute of medicine has reported that 100 million people are living in chronic pain on a daily basis not including veterans, pallative care(nursing homes) and people under the age of 18. The state has the pharmacies in such fear that they are afraid to fill legal and legtitmate prescriptions for the vital pain medications. They are needed for these people to try and live functional lives without having to be bedridden by pain. Patients that are employed will have to quit their jobs and go on SSDI because they won't be able to take the pain anymore. They won't be able to work to support their families. This has gone past a crisis. This is a major health concern for everyone that's involved with a chronic pain patient. Small independent pharmacies are refusing to accept insurance for payment of these medications and chain phamacies are refusing to fill for patients. They are claiming there are allotments for these medications but the Department of Health says there is not. Something is not right here. Too many excuses and not enough caring of humanity happening here. The economy has been hit very hard on all Americans, housing, unemployment, food and gas prices. Patients need to be able to see their doctors, get their prescriptions and go on with their lives. People in pain can not get in and out cars going from one pharmacy to another trying to fill their medicine. They can not do this in pain. They shouldn't have to do this at all! Where has the all compassion and humanity gone?The discrimination of legitimate pain patients has to STOP NOW!! It has been made clear that our state government does not care about these people. I have the email responses from them to prove this. Many other patients have them too. The state has law enforcement harrassing people coming out of the doctor offices and pulling people over for no good reason. The pill mill problem was the state's fault, but they are gone now. They let these continue for years and did nothing, now we have a very lopsided approach to handling the situation. Legitimate chronic pain patients are not addicts and they should not be treated as such. This is inhumane and according to the Constitution, the rights of pain patients are being violated. The pendulmn has swung too far and this has to STOP. The conversation about pain needs to change! Old news and old statistics need to be history. Lethal leg iron traps & snares are barbaric, brutal,inhumane, sadistic. They are the precursors to personnel land mines. Unintended targets get tortured to death.
