People are dying because our laws allow someone to abuse drugs/ alcohol without an mandatory rehab intervention. I want to see a law passed that will require a person who has 3 documented hospital/ jail visits related to alcohol and or drug abuse to complete a 28 day rehab program. My Mother just passed away after being in ICU 5 times, where alcohol abuse was brought to their attention, since Oct 2011, I was told by a case manager that my Mom had the right to drink her self to death! Well she did just that, and I pleaded and pleaded with these hospitals to help her but each time she was able to walk out. Doctors said that she was of sound mind and was able to make her own decisions. I agree, but you cant be of sound mind drinking your self to death. She died 3/13/2012.

The living wage in the Twin cities metro was set at 10/hr in the mid 1990's. today almost 20 years later with a housing boom of over 400% and gas prices increase of 0ver 400% and the food costs and fun costs increase of over 400% we need to increase the living wage for asmall companies to 15/hr and large such as General mills, best buy, 3M, wells fargo, Mcdonalds, Burgerking, etc. to 20/hr. These low wage employees dont get health benefits or retirment incomes as of today so we eithetr need to be those benefits back in or pay hire wages. The chinese companies are buying america due to lack of income coming in, due to lack of pay out to middle america and low america. We need to increase wages for middle and low america to save the country.

Mr. Thom Duncan, of Huntington North High School, was fired by the Huntington County School Board on March 12, 2012. He was accused of "bullying" a student. This act of "bullying" involved throwing a cut tennis ball at a student because they were sleeping in class. This was Mr. Duncan's first offense and instead of an incident report being filed he was suspended in the month of December 2011 and then had his contract terminated in March. This petition is for those who are in favor of restoring Mr. Thom Duncan's reputation so that he may either continue his employment at HNHS or seek it elsewhere without false allegations of "bullying".

If AB2299 passes, then our government officials, elected and non-elected, including law enforcement officers, DMV employees, etc., will be able to hide their property ownership which is now a matter of public record. We could find no record of any public official being threatened in this way, either." If this passes, then these government officials will be able to hide any ill gotten gains. Current public record allows an individual or a reporter to investigate possible corruption of "bought" elected officials, law enforcement officers, etc. We need to stop this from happening.
