    This petition is about Chronic Pain Sufferers, the elderly and the disabled in the State of Maine. These are the "disenfranchised" citizens of this once-great State who are systematically being thrown to the curb... who, in a sense, and with this law, are being "Euthanized" on the installment plan, as it were.

    The city has moved to categorize yoga studios as fitness centers and not movement spaces, which requires costly new permits and licensing fees which are grossly inappropriate for businesses of this scale.

    The state of NY has proposed that all yoga teachers be classified as W-2 emplyees rather than Independent Contractors. This reclassification would cost each studio so much money in workers compensation and payroll tax that the existence of many studios would be threatened.

  • Help Keep Your Yoga Studio Balanced
    There is a huge push against yoga studios as a source of taxation and funding at both the city and state level. An increasing number of studios are facing legal investigation for violating these new and poorly understood government regulations.This has meant burdensome lawyers fees, penalties, back-tax bills and other administrative costs which are threatening the vitality of many studios in our city. We are calling upon our local officials to not impose this service tax and to stop all audits demanding years of back taxes.

    Bullying has become a very serious issue in America. Kids can be so cruel with their words and how they treat others. By signing this petition, you agree to help end bullying by teaching your kids and others that bullying is not right. Kids should feel safe going to school or riding the bus or just being around other kid. Unfortunately, many of todays kids are being bullied.     A young black man had to die because he dared to ask why to a Hispanic who perpetrates himself as a white wannabee cop. He wasn't prosecuted because he did the police a favor. Lack of an iniitial investigation and the slowness of a pending one is just a ploy to start a full scale race riot. Anything to mar the fact that US now has a black President.
