• Support American Jobs
Too many big corporations outsource their jobs and bring their product back for us to buy. Let companies like P&G, GE, Walmart and Apple know that we only want products and services that support American jobs!

  • Veterans vs. Convicts
Why don't military veterans get dental benefits? Convicts get dental benefits but a veteran does not. Do we value convicts more than veterans?

  • Oil Profits
Oil that is within the earth, under the United States territory is a National treasure and belongs to the Citizens of the United States. Let us profit from it, and not give it to the oil companies to sell it back to us.

  • maximum pay
Top ceo pay must be tied to how good they are at creating full-time jobs and supplying health care and be in line with what all other employees get paid. Ceo's can only make 50 times what their lowest paid full-time employee makes. Companies can only have 20% non-full time employees. This will create jobs by making ceo's earn they pay in ways that matter to our nation.

  • Label GMO's in PA!
In pennsylvania and all over this country the American people are fooled into buying food items that contain GENETICALLY modified organisms. In other words, changing the genetic make-up of a food to make it more appealing to the consumer. Seriously, if you look up the "flavor saver" tomato, it was an experiment on the people with this alien tomato that got terrible reviews. That doesn't stop companies like Monsanto from genetically engineering a HUGE percent(over 75%) of corn, soy beans and cotton in the US. Don't we do deserve to know that this is in the food we feed to our families? Shouldn't it be our decision if we want our cereal to have GMO corn flakes or fresh organic corn flakes? Shouldn't there be tests on the safety of these products before releasing them onto the public in the 1990's? We have the right to be informed. Knowledge is power and when the right to be informed is taken away then we lose our voice and the FDA doesn't react to inaction. We as a people cannot make educated decisions on our health without the FDA taking the proper steps in labeling all foods that contain these harmful and alien ingrediants. Organic farrmers cannot stand alone in this fight. Organic farmers are being sued left and right by huge companies like Monsanto, and other farmers and being forced to buy Monsanto's seeds every year. This has to stop. Labeling is important. After PINK SLIME I think we can all agree on that.

  • Separate Person's Experiencing Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities from KanCare
Please take this opportunity to voice concern in regards to the state’s inclusion of Medicaid’s fee and community based services, managed and long-term care systems for the Intellectually and developmentally disabled(I/DD). With the aid of your support we hope that this petition will promote continuity of care and effectiveness of services for this population by amending KanCare to carve out long term care services from the Medicaid Reform Budget and proposed service delivery system. By signing this petition you reach out not only to our governor and the state of Kansas but also to the US House of Representatives and President Barack Obama. By targeting such structures we hope that we can effect timely and long-term change within the Kansas Legislature in concordance with this issue. Collected under one mission, we encourage and provide the opportunity for all to voice their specific concerns in regards to upcoming healthcare policy and (I/DD) populations. You’re participation is not only appreciated by us as advocates and students, but vital for the cessation of inclusion of this vulnerable population from the KanCare health policy. Will you sign the petition too? ____________________________________________________ Looking to find out more? • Private Student Loan Consumer Protections
This petition is to get back standard consumer protection - including bankruptcy to Private Student Loans. Private Students Loans are not federally insured and therefore should be treated like any other private debt (Credit Cards, Mortgage, Car Loans etc...) Bankruptcy protection was removed from Private Student Loans in 2005 after intense Lobbying by Student Loan giants. Congress amended Title 11 of the Federal Financial Insolvency Codes which took this protection away. Student Lending Giants claimed that adding private student loans to this would help them offer lower interest rates and more favorable terms to student borrowers who did not qualify for federally insured loans. This has in fact had the opposite effect and instead is used as a huge money making tool for student lenders.

  • Private Student Loan Bankruptcy Fairness
In 2005 Congress passed a law that protected private unsecured student loans against bankruptcy. This is an unfair practice and allows financial institutions federal protection on a private debt. This would be likened to not being able to discharge a credit card in bankruptcy because the credit card was protected by federal law. It is not fair to the consumer and negates the true reason for bankruptcy to begin with.
