For years, fans (mainly girls) have been wanting a sequel to the Studio Ghibli classic, "Spirited Away" (or, "Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi"). Of course, as many say, sequels often tend to ruin the charm of the original. So, in this case, why not a simple short film?

Dogs deserve better than to live their lives at the end of a 6ft. chain or tether. Dogs that are tied 24/7 are usually neglected and isolated. Dogs that are tied around the clock become more aggressive and territorial. They are almost 3 times more likely to bite overall. Children are particularly vulnerable. Statistics show that chained/tethered dogs are 5 times more likely to bite children. Chained/tethered dogs account for the majority of serious bite injuries to children. Dogs and people deserve better in Bella Vista!

Tennessee is on the verge of turning the clock of science education back to 1925, the days of the Scopes Monkey Trial, and Governor Bill Haslam is the only one who can stop it. Last week, the Tennessee State Legislature passed legislation (HB 368/SB 893), which allows classroom teachers to position well-established scientific topics such as evolution and global warming as "controversial." The bill is the brainchild of Senator Bo Watson, who claims that the bill will help improve student's critical thinking skills. But leading scholars and science education groups strongly disagree, and have widely condemned the bill. If this bill becomes law, the students of Tennessee will suffer its consequences. As the American Association for the Advancement of Science explains, “Asserting that there are significant scientific controversies about the overall nature of these concepts when there are none will only confuse students, not enlighten them.” Students confused about well-established scientific facts will have a harder time getting into college, more difficulty getting the high-tech jobs of the 21st century, and will be unprepared to deal with the very real impacts of climate change that are their inheritance. This bill will also damage the state's reputation as a leader in science education, and could harm science and technology jobs in Tennessee. Governor Haslam has the ability to stop all of this from happening, which is why we strongly urge him to veto the bill today!

In 2010, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) began a campaign against small farmers who raise heritage pigs. Their claim is that heritage pigs are feral pigs that cause damage to the environment and carry disease. Farmers attempted to stop this action through a senate action, and the senators thought that the decision should be stopped. But when the senators were preparing to vote, they were being lobbied by presumably Big Pork producers, and after that, the decision remained. Beginning on 1 April 2012, the DNR will begin enforcing this decision by "depopulating" these small farms and the farmers will be felons for raising pigs that have be farmed for decades.

My petition is about justice for Trayvon Martin

Its about the city trying to get a toll road between 152, highway 5 etc. Then on top of that charge the people a transportation tax. Plus we already pay taxes for road repairs etc. This is triple the taxes etc for citizens. There is unemployment, people losing their homes and the gas prices are sky high. How is this suppose to help the citizens of Los Banos and surrounding areas.
