Rush Limbaugh's latest assault against women is unacceptable. Because a Georgetown University law student testified before Congress in support of insurance companies providing coverage for birth control pills, Limbaugh called her a "slut" and "prostitute" and completely misrepresented the text of her testimony. Then, he suggested that she post videos of her having sex on the web so everybody could watch them. This tirade went on for several days. He subsequently offered a disingenuous apology after losing some of his sponsors but his views regarding women and women's health are on the record. Please sign this petition to have his show removed from WKRM 1340. His brand of hateful rhetoric is insulting to women and to men who respect them. His inflammatory hate speech contributes to the vulgarity in politics today.

Due to an unnecessary and antequated law enacted in 1990, the US Government CANNOT give funding to any organization that supports Palestine as a state. While that was a well intentioned law, over 100 countries and organizations now recognize them as a state. One of those organizations is UNESCO. UNESCO enacts programs to bring clean drinking water to nearly 1,000,000 people in Africa who are dying of thirst. It funds schools and colleges in third world countries. It was even planning to teach the largely illiterate Afghan police force how to read. Some of these programs benefit the U.S., all of them benefit the world. The answer is simple. Ask congress to overturn the law that says we cannot provide funding to any organization that supports Palestine statehood. That is a political question that is being answered with severe humanitarian consequences. The Supreme Court has decided that since Corporate influence on the outcome of elections did not cause the electorate to lose faith in our democracy there was no legitimate reason to allow Congress to regulate it. The purpose of this petition is to demonstrate to the Court that their unsupported presumption is mistaken Corporate influence on elections does to cause the electorate to lose faith in our democracy.
