• Governor Haley: Stop lying about voter fraud
Democratic legislators are becoming as rare as hen's teeth in the SC legislature. Governor Haley should be promoting issues that will improve the lives of SC residents and protect democracy. Instead, she serves her GOP corporate backers while the people of SC are cut out of the loop by this prevailing system of crony capitalism. Voter suppresion is an egregious method the GOP employs in it's agenda to serve their corporate masters, and it must be stopped.

  • Target Should Let Its Employees Use Their Employee Discounts With Food Stamps
Target employees get a 10% discount but only if they pay with cash, check, or a Target Red Card. Up till recently employees could also use their discount with their food stamp benefits. Many Target retail employees are below the poverty line and get food stamp benefits. It is simply unfair to charge the poorest employees more, than those employees who can actually afford to buy food with a redcard, or cash.

  • Stop the Dismantling of Public Education! Keep LAUSD School Staffs From Being Given Pink Slips!
Although my experience is with the Los Angeles Unified School District, districts all over the country are laying off teachers, nurses, and other school site staff not because there are real budget cuts but because superintendents play footsie with for-profit schools in order to make money off of public education for themselves, which violates the very idea of public education. For-profit schools don't abide by the collective bargaining contracts that public school teachers and other school site staff enjoy, including medical benefits. Teachers, nurses, janitors provide the environment that educate American youth. No of us living would be able to live life without the education provided by teachers and the environments maintained by other school site staff. In California, AB 114 was passed to provide additional funding for all California public schools at the 2009-2010 Schoo Year levels, bringing additional funds to reinstate all staff that had been laid off last year but many districts, especially LAUSD, are withholding that money for rehiring laid off staff. This is unconscionable while many new for-profit charter schools are being created by public school districts paying teachers and other staff the minimum salaries possible.

  • Please Remember Debbie Peagler for Her Contribution of Domestic Violence...Crime After Crime
Debbie Peagler was wrongfully incarcerated for more than 3 decades, she slotted to die alone and among the forgotten. The lack of understanding of the traumatic effects of battering and the Battered Woman Syndrome Defense, and she was denied the benefits of The No Stalking Law by Judges, Prosecutors, and Defense Attorneys cause her to receive life in prison. Family Law denied her the right to protect her daughter from molestation. The Documentary of her life story won the Golden Globe Award! Tell the First Lady & First Grandmother to Take Action to End this Injustice1
