• Demand A Full-Scale Investigation of the S.E.C.
The Securities and Exchange Commission has failed to provide adequate justice in it's investigation of the financial crisis. Recent reports from the New York Times, Forbes, NPR, and other news agencies indicate lenient penalties for banks and companies responsible for the financial crisis, favoring Wall Street over American citizens. It's time to demand a full-scale investigation of the S.E.C. by the U.S. Justice Department and F.B.I.

  • Save Millersville Men's Track and Field and Cross Country
The Track & Field and Cross Country programs at Millersville University have been a valuable and competitive part of the University for almost 60 years. On February 14th around 2:00 P.M. the coaching staff was notified that Men's Cross Country, Indoor, and Outdoor Track & Field as well as the contract of Head Coach, Scott Wieser, would all be terminated at the completion of the 2012 outdoor season. The University gave no warning, as well as no alternative financial plan for the already cost-effective teams. This is about more than one program at a D2 institution; this is about the budget cuts being made all over the country. These cuts to state universities inhibit us, as paying college students, from experiencing everything that college has to offer. Sign this petition not only if you support the re-institution of the Men's Cross Country and Track & Field programs, but also if you believe that cutting money from state universities and education is unjust and unfair.

  • A Constitutional Amendment to Clean Up Elections
This is a petition to propose a constitutional amendment to end bribery by political donation. It takes a heap of money to run for political office these days, and with few exceptions, our elected officials have placed their public trust in the hands of those groups which can underwrite their election campaigns. Thanks to the Citizens United decision by the Supreme Court, our elected representatives now represent us in name, while they represent the bundlers, the lobbyists and the moneyed interests in deed. Dare it be repeated—this is bribery.

  • Legalization of Industrial Hemp Cultivation
Hemp is one of the most useful plants on Earth. For thousands of years, humans have used parts of the hemp plant for food, textiles, paper, fabric, and fuel oil. Today, modern processing technologies have made it possible to create alternatives to gasoline, plastic, and other petroleum products that can help the human race lessen its reliance on polluting and expensive fossil fuels. http://www.informationdistillery.com/hemp.htm

  • Save Our Lady of Fatima High School!
Our Lady of Fatima High School in Warren, RI is not only a safe and faith-filled educational facility, but a home-away-from home for all the students, parents and alumni that walk through its doors. However, the Sisters of Saint Dorothy have decided to close these doors for good due to what they claim as "lack of funds." In a recent interview, assistant principal Mr. Ascoli has said otherwise. "The principal actually had a budget going forward for next year, a budget that would have enabled us to open the school in September. However, the council that governs the affairs of the Sisters of Saint Dorothy nationally felt as though it might have been a band-aid," he says. This petition is to show the Sisters that Our Lady of Fatima means too much to too many people to simply give up.

  • Nuclear Wasted
Congress and the President have authorized spending 8 billion dollars to finance 2 new Nuclear Power plants in Georgia at a time when there is very little regulation from the NRC or the DOE as to how or where to contain the waste from the back end of Nuclear power generation. Additionally as Fukishima has lethally demonstrated the effects of an accident can be deadly and last for generations. Furthermore, the mining and milling of Uranium is dangerous at all stages.

  • Demand honest, positive, campaigning in America
I don't feel a candidate or party should be able to campaign on the negative. Tell us what you, the candidate, intends to do to HELP this country and grow the economy. Make yours, the candidate's, promise, an issue you CAN fulfill rather than what people simply desire to hear. Speak only about the issues a candidate is able to perform without having opposition and if you, the candidate, expect oppostion, how you intend to work with the Congress.
