The Governor and state legislature of Indiana are trying to prevent access to the Affordable Care Act. They are denying the State of Indiana an opportunity to become a healthier and more productive state by preventing access to this health care plan. This is just one example of many coordinated attacks by our State Government on Indiana’s middle class!

Current Louisiana child support law terminates at age 22 for children with disabilities. As a result too many custodial parents of adult children with severe and profound disabilities are faced with the daily challenges of raising their child on their own, i.e., 100% of their financial, physical, and emotional care frequently becomes the sole responsibility of the custodial parents for the rest of their lives, while the noncustodial parent refuses to provide support even though they are very capable of doing so. This is not fair to either the adult child with severe and profound disabilities or their custodial parent! Governor Jindal and the Louisiana legislature has the chance to change this. We're calling on them to standup for and protect the well-being of adult children with severe and profound disabilities and stop the unfair responsibility put on their custodial parents.

I have started this petition to bring to light all of the unnecessary actions that the Cal boro cops have taken towards "US" the students; from beating and tazing students multiple times, to handing out fines like candy. A situation happened on 3/6/12 when a student was tazed four times and was also beaten. When a fellow student tried to record a cop quickly shot one last tazer before anyone could begin a recording. This is not the first incident of this situation and it wont be the last until someone speaks up. I myself have been unjustly treated. I felt that I was just only one person who couldn't do a thing; but I learned it only takes one "If one can chase 1,000 to flight, then two can put 10,000 to flight" I would like for those of you who feel strongly about this to sign and even give a brief description of your own experience if your willing to share. He has already been notified and he is down for the cause, BUT he states that we need more people to speak up if you want something to be done of the situation.

Did you know the Federal Preventive Services Task Force, under this Obama administration, has issued new guidelines recommending that women in their 40s no longer have annual mammograms and that women ages 50 to 74 have them only every other year, instead of annually? Used to be Federal guidelines were just that, final decisions between doctor and patient. Well, under ObamaCare, that will no longer be the case, you will be FORCED to adhere to these life threatening directives. Most doctors agree, these cost cutting measures will be at the expense of women's lives. Did you know the FDA under this administration, as of Nov. 2011, has revoked the very promising use of Avastin for breast cancer? Yet another cost saving measure referred to by some as, "a death sentence" for some breast cancer victims. Do you believe, for a single minute, if ANY of the "political elite" have need for these life saving measures, they will be denied as would be the case for you, me, or one of our loved ones? These are the REAL battles, the geniune War On Women being conducted in America today...not who will pay for condoms or birth control pills. On February 27, 2012, the Town of Littleton Selectmen voted to discontinue the 20+ year policy of plowing and sanding the 4.27 miles of private roads. The Town failed to notify us of this decision, although we had requested to be notified of any changes to this policy.

Most Hospitals that perform Living Donor Liver Transplants will allow a healthy individual that meets all other health, age, and lifestyle requirements to donate a portion off their liver to a needy recipient. In fact, there are many non-profit organizations, services, and websites that exist to match donors and recipients. This saves thousands of lives each year. Stanford University Hospital is an exception. The policy stated on page 6 of the Liver Transplant Program handbook states that "A potential donor must: Have an established relationship with the recipient". This is costing thousands of people their lives every year because they cannot utilize the programs out there to find a donor due to this policy. Please sign this petition to tell Stanford Hospital to please consider changing their policy, thus saving thousands of lives in the process.

We have locked away our southern women for life, unjustly. They acted on basic instinct and defended themselves against an abusive partner and lost their families, children and freedom. We must make things right, we are their voices.

Why did the bankers who crashed the economy in 2008 and got bailed out with our money manage to continue to get huge bonuses and not go to jail? Why haven’t the crooks who “robo-signed” foreclosure documents gone to jail? Why do large companies keep getting tax breaks as do the 1%. How could Jack Abramoff buy off so many Congressmen? Could it be that large campaign contributions and K Street lobbying have something to do with the dysfunction in our government and why the rich keep getting richer and the rest of us struggle?
