The legalization of Marijuana for medicinal, and recreational use. Recent studies show Marijuana is a safer, and more effective alternative to prescription medicine for pain, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, etc. Outdated laws, and ignorance have impeded the the growth and development of this natural, highly effective medicine. No strong physiological addiction has been shown for marijuana. Which is far less than Alcohol, and tobacco (some studies show to be more addictive than cocaine). Marijuana use is far less dangerous to your body as well. There has never been a death as a direct cause from the use of Marijuana.

Nashville’s Metropolitan Transportation Licensing Commission (MTLC) conducted a sting operation against Metro Livery, an affordable limousine and town car service that is currently suing Nashville in federal court. Metro Livery’s crime? Charging its customers less than the government-mandated $45 minimum fare.

Currently Clark County Commissioners in the State of Washington receive $80,000 - $90,000 annual salaries. This is way too much, if we reduced their salaries by 60 or more percent, this would help to resolve many of the budget issues currently facing Clark County, WA. Why should Clark County Commissioners receive this type of salary when our school teacher salaries are being reduced and there is currently an 11 percent unemployment rate in this county? If we reduced these salaries by this much those funds could be put to good use like improving our transit system, providing employment services, supporting small businesses to grow by giving them a reduced tax. This is horrible use of our finances in this county.

Ms. Eberhard will not agree to renew Ms. Germer's and Mr. Sobolewski's contracts. They are one of the best teachers that MLKAMS has ever had, so why not renew their contract out of all the teachers? We're calling for everyone that wants to keep these 2 amazing teachers at our school. Thank you.

This petition is about the phasing out of incandescent light bulbs for Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs. There are people with allergic/ sensitivities to fluorescent-lighting and people who have autoimmune issues who can be aggravated by the Ultraviolet Light. There are people also with a condition not accepted by the American Medical Association, but the World Health Organization is conducting summits on across the world is Electromagnetic Field Radiation. This is a real issue for people. Don't let them phase out incandescent-lighting.

The Catholic Church is fighting new rules that make it mandatory to provide contraception and for employees. Churches are exempt but Non-profit hospitals and organizations are not under the new rules. The church is fighting against the new moral and ethical ruling claiming religious liberty. Our local doctors and nurses are not religious employees and deserve full benefits.

I believe the punishment given to Bryant Rowe for defending his self against a bully who had been tormenting him for months was far too severe.The bully only served one day of I.S.S. and proceeded to move to fairview county schools to escape the rest of his punishment.

the school of Desert Mirage needs to get together to stop losing 2 to 3 weeks of school time because of the schedule problems

Radio host Wendy Wright of the ‘Wright on the Edge' talk show has recently been removed from the 4pm to 7pm line up. While Bernie McCain was on hiatus, Wendy occupied this WOL broadcast timeslot. In a very short time she transformed the typical dialogue coming from the station. I appreciate Black talk radio because it’s a seriously lacking market, but most of the current programming overwhelmingly focuses on racism which attracts older victimization mentalities. Of course racism is alive and well, rooted in the fabric of America, but 'Wright on the Edge' comes from an approach of empowerment. In addition to topics of racial injustice, she also tackles multiple forms of self determination, community advocacy, financial literacy, politics, spirituality, health, and so much more. With youthful energy she taps into the consciousness that reaches younger audiences. I appreciate what WOL currently offers but it can be expanded and diversified.

It should be illegal for banks to charge so much (whatever they want) to withdraw your own money from an ATM. We believe this amount should be limited to a few cents. We all know they are not replacing or maintaining the machines with the money they earn and everyone is affected here. There are many other ideas such as this which can stimulate the economy and stop corporate greed with one stroke, lets get this done.
