• More $3 fee scams from Bank of America
Bank of America charges a $3 fee for ATM paper receipts. When you make a check deposit, they scan the check. You can opt for a receipt with the scanned image but will be charged $3 for the receipt. No receipt and you take your chances that the check is properly credited........When you check your BOA account online, you can view images of checks you wrote but not checks you deposited. All that is displayed are the words “deposit ticket” and a number that is the dollar amount of the check. Firstly, you feed checks directly into the ATM – no deposit tickets, no envelopes. Secondly, the check was scanned the moment it is fed into the ATM. If you request paper receipt with check image you can see scaled picture of the face of the check. The digital image is stored in the database and linked to your account. It is just not displayed to you online or on paper statements. …….Online, your account activity does not display any check image, only "deposit ticket" with a number, presumably the amount deposited and nothing else. ………If you need copies of deposited pay checks or to correct an error. BOA will charge you $3 to print each digital image they already have stored in your account. …………If you deposit 5 checks, that is a $15 fee. To charge 25 cents for paper and ink for paper receipts and copies is one thing but to charge $3 PER CHECK IMAGE is an outrage since BOA has set it up that they not display the digital images they already have online or on printed statements for any deposits in order to force to pay this outrageous fee for copies………….Enough is enough. Stop this practice now. Sign the petition.

  • Public financing for Federal elections
I want all federal elections to be limited & funded by the federal treasury. No corporate donations allowed; no individual donations allowed. People, or corporations for that matter would be allowed to donate to the US Treasury to defray the cost of federal elections, but not to individual candidates. Hence, an even playing field for all.

  • Disabled Veterans Need Our Help
For the last 4 years disabled veterans have not seen one penny of a raise in an economy where the cost of living had obvious to everyone except the powers that be, gone up. This year, Congress had decided to give a 3% raise to all disabled veterans. However, in an effort to keep money for themselves, the raise was reduced to .96%. That means a 40% disabled veteran only got a 19 dollar raise. Why did the even bother? This is the thanks our government gives us for serving.

  • Amending IC Clinic hours to be more patient-centred
We would like IC Clinic hours at St. Paul's Hospital to be amended to include early morning hours, to allow medical treatment for the majority of patients (who work daytime hours). While we greatly appreciate the health service provided by the IC Clinic, the current clinic schedule is planned for the convenience of nursing staff, and hospital administration. We would like the needs of patients to be taken into account in the planning. The majority of people who work full-time, work 9-5 (or 8-5). The current IC Clinic schedule means that patients with full-time 9-5 jobs cannot receive medical treatment. The schedule presumes that most people have employers willing to allow flexibility for staff to regularly attend appointments on staff time. The reality is unfortunately that many of us have employers who do not permit flexibility for regular appointments during work hours. Also, a number of us want to apply for full-time jobs, but cease to be candidates once it is explained that weekly or twice-weekly there are hours we cannot be available. We would like the hours to change, and feel that a patient-centred IC Clinic schedule would work better for the majority, and by enabling more of us to work and contribute to the economy, will ultimately be a better deal for taxpayers.
