  • Rescind Corporate Personhood
    Corporations are not people, and they never were. The erroneous granting of the commonly held rights of people to corporations has done much to undermine the well-being of our nation. It has lead to a national agenda that serves not its citizens, but primarily the profits of large corporations. Profit, we acknowledge, is not bad in an of itself, it is profit at the expense of everything else that is inadmissible. It is time that our elected officials correct this error and put an end to corporate personhood and all corporate influence in politics.

This means corporations can contribute as much money as they wish to elected officials and causes. This means that corporations have more power than people.     The rising numbers in suicide among the Military Families is growing. We have lost children to suicide that were struggling during deployment. Change needs to be made and resources must be available for these families at all times. We are calling all citizens to stand up for the Military as they are standing up for you! NO MORE CUTS IN MILITARY MENTAL HEALTH CARE! Our Soldiers and Families deserve better! We will be in Washington DC on November 17th, 2011 to speak before members of Congress and will be presenting this petition. Please help us protect the rights of those who serve!

  • Full Federal Recognition for the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina
    The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina was given full state recognition in 1885 and in 1956 by the United States Congress, but Congress withheld the full benefits of federal recognition from the tribe. Congress can correct this injustice by bringing the Lumbee Recognition Act which passed out of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee to the floor for a full vote and passage by the Senate and the House of Representatives. We are calling on the United States Congress to correct this injustice and bring closure to the 125 year pursuit of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina for Full Federal Recognition.

  • Fish and Game Dpt : license for senior citizen
    The fishing license should be discounted to 50% for seniors at 65 years old and over, free for senior at 70 and over. Most retirerees can barely afford the price of a license, Medicare cost is going up as well as living expenses.Our senior citizens deserve a break , we owe it to them. Also the license should be a 12 month issue from the date you buy it ( May to May etc...), as for now it is untill December no matter which month you buy the license.
