Bristol-Myers Squibb wants to spend $74 billion to buy out a rival, Celgene. It would be the largest pharmaceutical merger ever, and their consolidation would give the combined companies number one positions in oncology and cardiovascular drug sales. But there's something we can do to stop this mega-merger. We've seen what happens when big pharmaceutical companies merge -- drug prices soar. It happened to the Epi-Pen. It happened with arthritis drugs. It even happened with insulin. As patients, we bear the ever-increasing costs and many of us can't afford to keep paying and paying. Several of us depend on our prescriptions to stay alive, and nobody should have to choose between a roof over their head and the drugs they need to thrive. The Federal Trade Commission must listen to comments from the public before approving the merger. Here is our chance to speak up. This mega-merger will block the development and sale of affordable drugs and reduce competition just when we need more of it. We can't sit by and let Big Pharma get even bigger, at our expense. Take action and tell the FTC to protect patients by stopping this potential merger now.

As an American, I'm offended when people try to politicize 9/11. I'm deeply offended when people try to politicize global human rights atrocities suffered by Jewish people. There's a clear right wing anti-Muslim agenda that tries to paint American Muslims as anti-Semitic, anti-LGBTQ, and pro-terrorism. They are trying to divide Americans--and progressives in particular--and it's up to allies to speak up and speak out against this bigotry when we see it.

The website, savethechildren.net has a link where they talk about how they do plan to help but they need more people. What I plan to do is to make this petition for about 100-150 people to sign so we could send to their website because some people would love to help such as myself but can't donate money for reasons (THIS IS NOT A PROMOTION TO DONATE!!! THIS IS ONLY FOR AWARENESS!!!!). So we just want to show them that people care in America and we are aware of it so they could have more motivation. The reason we need to help the children who are in danger because they go through human trafficking, sex trafficking, child labor, abuse, and many more that are far too inappropriate for children. The flaw about this situation is that some people compared to 7.53 billion is enough to save most children in India; and in other places in fact. In order to do something about it from the other side of the world is to involve people. They are starting in India and they just need the money, not all of us have the money, but we can help by starting this petition to let the organization know that people in this country know and care. We all cannot physically do something major, but we can at least start off by creating awareness in America.

I am starting this petition because although I was lucky enough to have a great education, it is extremely unfair that others cannot be as fortunate as I was. Education is an essential opportunity and each and every person should have the same privilege as I have. I plan to be a teacher and I want all of my students to have the opportunity and resources to be great.

I have witnessed and myself been a victim (currently being victimized) by Judges who believe they can create the laws as they go or ignore the ones that exist. These Judges feel empowered to act however they feel and truly believe that their immunity shields them against indigents who cannot and/or will not do anything and even if we could it does not make it far which creates bigger problem establishing additional violations of rights, laws, oaths, canons and destroying families who do not deserve their abuse.

To all my friends and followers, As sad as it may be in this time and day racial inequality in the judicial system is a real issue. All it takes is for you to be black, not wealthy enough to hire proper counsel, and have a prosecutor that wants or needs a case or cases to stick. Then it simply becomes a situation of how many years of your life they want to take from you and your family. My brother Alphonso Destin has been incarcerated for the past eleven years for crimes the person who really committed them confessed to and evidence proved he committed them. The evidence that proved my brother didn’t commit these crimes was not brought to his attention up until three years after his trial. Also throughout my brother’s trial the court appointed lawyer would not let me and my family into the courtroom, imagine the impact this had on the jury. This is just a few of the tactics that our supposedly fair and just judicial system used to secure the conviction of whoever for whatever crimes regardless of actual guilt. Your signature on this petition that will be presented to the Virginia governor in request for a pardon/clemency for my brother would be very much appreciated. Please help right this injustice. My brother could be your brother, son, nephew, or uncle. Lets hope that one day all races can be seen as one in the same by the judicial system. We aren't allowed to practice our religion how we should be able to.

This petition is to show the university that students eating on campus don't have healthy and diverse options to keep themselves healthy and satisfied. This needs to change as students are buying meal plans and aren't using them because they resort to going off campus for better food, which then causes a loss of money in meal-point since we can't get that money back.

Isolation is one of the most dangerous things a person can go through. 2 out of every 3 people facing homelessness, do not have contact with their family. Families are essential for protection, provision, and advice. If someone is without one, the hotline could offer up a temporary solution. We can help improve these drastic statistics by 1) providing an empathetic person to talk to 2) offering up possible solutions to their situation 3) encouraging these people to seek local help.

I am starting this petition because I believe that Andrew Yang's ideas are important, and I have recently been effected by company layoffs, caused by the variables previously mentioned.

more then half of the population are homeless, and more then half of that half are hard workers that work every day harder then the average person just in hopes to be able to climb out of the the hole they have been droped into. its has become the main focus and outlet to release frustations and blame. granted there are those that are in fact the way they are seen but not all people that are homeless are drunks junkies thives criminals lazy etc there are limited opions and none are instant or even a for sure thing so even if a person was going down to social serveses everyday from sun up to sun down waiting and reqesting help where are they supose to sleep eat etc it has become damn near illegal to be poor cops harass intimidate scar and disrespect homeless people everyday innocent lives of dear beloved pets are affected and many times cut short. heres a thought one day your spouse leaves you or a loved one dies you go into a dark place but still you get up everyday and put all you have into puting one foot in front the other just to keep your head above water then you lose your job without a job you cant pay rent so you lose your house in an instant you are force to down size your lifes belongings and now your out in the cold scared hungry cold and you struggle to to find a reason to keep going now with all that add daily harassment threats being woken out of sleep when your finally able to get some a couple more times and now your taken to jail and lose what little you had you get out even more depressed and now have the start of a record and your name is on a list how many times do you really think you could handle going through this ? please we need to be helping the ones that are down and out not making things worse there are so many open lots that arent being used that could be a safe rest place for someone who has nothing and who most likely at the end of their hope rope if your not open able or willing to taken someone in or spear change then at least stop nagging and judging and alienanting the homeless let them live in peace as long as they are not harming anyone vandalizing or breaking rule leave them be
