Cyber bullying is a serious problem that affects thousands of teens every year and can lead to depression or in some cases suicide. While there may be laws in place to protect people from cyberbullying in Florida, there could be better ones.

Republicans’ “Protect Act” gives power back to insurance companies to charge women and older adults more and sell people plans that do not include comprehensive coverage. Insurance companies would once again be able to refuse to cover essential health benefits, such as hospitalization, mental health, maternity care, and prescription drugs. This puts artificial barriers up for people with pre-existing conditions. For example, someone with cancer may be sold a plan but denied prescription drug coverage. These types of restrictions were the norm pre-ACA, and the “Protect Act” takes us back to the days when your insurance card might have been a really expensive piece of plastic in your wallet.

Houston Police Officers Union Joe Gamaldi has shown that he simply can't be trusted, and he should step down immediately. After five Houston police officers were shot and two civilians were killed in a botched raid, Gamaldi recklessly and baselessly threatened activists who work for police accountability and reform with targeting and surveillance: "We're going to be keeping track on all of y'all, and we're going to make sure to hold you accountable every time you stir the pot on our police officers." Then Houston news outlets began reporting the truth: that two of the officers had falsified evidence used to obtain the warrant that led to the shootings. Their lies -- not black and Latino activists -- imperiled the police officers and left two people dead. Now the FBI is investigating the crooked officers who conducted the raid. In the weeks since the truth came out, Gamaldi has failed to publicly apologize. Even worse, he has deflected and minimized the need for change when confronted with growing calls for accountability for the officers who put their colleagues in danger and violated the public's trust. Gamaldi's behavior is inexcusable. At best, it shows that he's incapable of leadership. At worse, it reveals that he will capitalize on any tragedy to win cheap points with people who think police should be above the law. Police officers and the public deserve better leadership in this moment. Please join me in demanding that Joe Gamaldi resign as president of Houston Police Officers Union.

It has become impossible to concentrate on any given day of the week as leaf blowers are used every day at all hours of the day! I have also ceased to hear birds for much of the day and started to hear neighbors' dogs barking during the day when leaf blowers run amok.

We the people and the families of incarcerated in the state of Arkansas demand the removal of Wendy Kelley as director of Arkansas Department of Corrections and associated Deputy Directors Dale Reed and Dexter Payne. In the collaboration of these individuals, incarcerated men and women in the state prison system are deprived of humane living conditions, adequate medical care, and safety and protection from harm. Grievances filed by inmates are always deemed without merit even in severe situations. These employees of Arkansas Department of Corrections take it upon themselves to punish families of incarcerated individuals by withholding mail, falsifying information in files, accusing family members of violating ADC policy without allowing "Due Process", restricting visitation, phone calls, and video visits, therefore depriving family dynamics with significant others, parents, siblings, and children. This in return affects the inmates psychologically, causing undue stress and mental anguish, which violates prison rights along with citizens rights. In numerous situations when a family member contacts these individuals, they are treated rudely and lied to. These deaths occurring in the system are not by family, they're by staff, for which administration does not want to be held accountable. Assaults in units by staff and other inmates show lack of interventions to prevent these occurrences. Numerous falsified disciplinaries are overlooked and pushed aside in order to condemn inmates to solitary confinement, which in return causes PTSD and other disorders. We the families demand accountability and transparency of the Arkansas Department of Corrections Administrations and staff. Ms. Kelley herself being a lawyer holding a license in this state violates civil rights to prisoners and families. It is time our legislators take action and demand removal and replacement of these individuals, no more covering up their infraction on human beings incarcerated and their families. Numerous time inhumane conditions, assaults, PREA violations go unrecognized or undocumented in order to keep their ACA accreditation, on which Ms. Kelley is on the board of ACA, which is a conflict of interest. We the families of the incarcerated demand to be heard and changes to be made accordingly by the replacement of these directors. We demand better conditions for all inmates, humane treatment, adequate medical care, improved mental health care with a licensed trained therapist, the safety of all inmates, and respect to families of the incarcerated.

Every American has been affected in one way or another by this administration‘s behavior. His supporters do not realized that his tax cuts hurt the poor and middle class (themselves) and blessed the rich that want to keep him in power. Our country has never been so divided. This was absolutely done by Putin’s design and Trumps purposeful demonization of Democrats and immigrants) . If the facts don’t come out, the people will never know the truth and our country will never heal. Trump has gotten away with corruption his entire life but now in his position of power on the world stage, propped up by all of his enablers, there are dire consequences for us all. He must be stopped and we must seek to be a united country of laws again. We can only do that by exposing the truth. Please join me and let our leaders know that we are not ready to just look to 2020 and ignore Mueller's findings. Russia is a threat, Trump is a threat and even worse, he believes he’s above the law.
