Our community residents have experienced break-ins from outside locals. Unfortunately, our gates are constantly broken which allows non-residents to enter at any time. We have had a large number of car break-ins in the last month, and we want management to either install a boom barrier to allow only one car at the time.

A prime example is the fact that they never notified ANY neighbor regarding the last election held in February, therefore, securing their position for another 3 years.

I am initiating this petition because of a person called Jawar Mohammed, Hate preacher, instigating genocide among Ethiopian Society. Because of Mr. Jawar’s hate messages, in less than seven months thousands of people were massacred and millions have been displaced from their original inhabitation. Many citizens have been exposed to a dire life and death situation. His vicious and controversial messages have filled the society with animosity. Therefore, before the country engulfs to never-ending civil war, we should stop Jawar.

There is a public safety issue in the parking garages at Providence Alaska Medical Center. I have coworkers that have had their vehicles broken into THREE TIMES. My own car has been broken into just to see what was in the glove box. I have seen people breaking into cars and am scared to walk to my vehicle. We are the people inside caring for your loved ones, and our cries for help are not being heard. We need more secure parking for our employees, patients, and patient families.

Secretary Nielsen recently wrote to Congress asking for additional funding for Trump's deportation force—even though the Department of Homeland Security has received over two billion dollars that they are choosing to not use for humanitarian needs at the border. She even asked for legislation to terminate established protections for unaccompanied children and families. The Trump administration is pushing its racist, anti-immigrant agenda by choosing to treat people inhumanely at the border in order to demand more money and increased power for its deportation force. We cannot allow this to happen. America's immigration agencies—ICE and CBP—are broken by design. These agencies are built on fear and harm, separating families and violating the human rights of those seeking a better life and safety in America. We need an immigration system that welcomes and cares for people, a system rooted in humanity. But the Trump administration, and Sec. Nielsen, are doing everything they can to create a dramatic situation at the southern border to justify force and cruelty. Congress must defend the critical protections enshrined in the bipartisan Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act (TVPRA) and the Flores Settlement Agreement and reject any action the Trump administration takes to undermine either or increase funding for these unhinged agencies.

Since the Trump administration has been in power, they have been separating families, holding children in internment camps, and purposefully violating international law. The U.S. has processes in place to treat asylum seekers and refugees humanely—but the Trump administration has intentionally made things worse for their own political gain. 
 Enough. 
 The Trump administration's plan is to create chaos, hurt people seeking a better life and safety in the United States, and then exhort the American people into giving more money to the agencies responsible for these abuses. These agencies have money—and they’ve chosen to spend that money on a vanity wall, inhumane workplace raids, and policies to harass immigrant communities. It is the responsibility of the UN Human Rights Agency to provide vital assistance to refugees, asylum-seekers, internally displaced and stateless people. It's clear that the Tump administration is refusing to treat people with respect, dignity, and to uphold their human rights. It's time for the United Nations to step in. The world must bear witness to the crimes of the Trump administration and the pain these agencies are intentionally causing. The U.N. cannot allow the Trump administration to play political games with the lives of asylum seekers and refugees.

In Massachusetts and almost all 50 States, one form of "mental health" law or another allows police, family members (some who may hate you), school personnel, doctors, even perfect strangers, to get a free citizen seized, locked up in a psychiatric facility, tortured, and force-fed psychotropic drugs against their will, and thereby establishing an inescapable life-long record, on any pretense or excuse that such a person does not fall into society's rubric of what is considered "normal." Would-be victims, beware: California has one of the most draconian laws in this area. There is a catch though: Whoever wants that person out of commission will have to say these words, "The person poses a risk [threat] to self or others." Evidence be dammed! We'll see later after the citizen has already had all of his or her constitutional and civil rights stripped. Yes! That is the first thing that the law allows. I filed legislation to amend that abominable law, Massachusetts General Law Chapter 123, Section 12 (M.G.L.c. 123 S. 12). The process is known as being "sectioned 12." And if it has not happened to you yet or someone you know, wait until you disagree with someone, complain about being scammed or abused, try to stand up for yourself or something you believe in, have simply had it with "putting up and keeping your mouth shut, call out stupidity, or decide to take a real stand against injustice and unfairness. Yes, there are people with bona fide altered mental status. I am not sure that they are altogether crazy, and psychiatry is not a medical science and has never cured anything. In fact, the role of psychiatry in history has been to help the State in perpetuating malfeasance upon the People. What Psychiatry has promoted as their Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, the latest edition know as (DSM–5) is nothing more than a book of made-up labels. Ladies and Gentlemen, Believe me when I tell you that Psychiatry is a fraud. This is the same branch of medieval (pre-Hypocrites) that has worked with the Nazis to help commit untold atrocities during World War II, wrote dozens of books and publications for Southern plantation and slave owners on how being black a disease. In this book, this infamous psychiatrist averred that one of those diseases caused the "negro" to want to run away from his master." And he proposed a cure: The master must turn the "negro" into a knee bender. We also saw the work of psychiatry in the torture program that psychiatrists and psychologists help the George W. Bush and Dick Cheney's government developed during the Iraq war. When you next go to an emergency room, be aware that hospitals have a hidden section where they hold people they deem to have demonstrated signs of one of the hundreds of contradictory and useless psychiatric labels in the DMS5, where many people are held against their will and sedated. In short, psychiatry is the sales force for drug companies. What you also may not be aware of is that in the United States today, millions of Americans are being compelled by court order to allow mental health charlatans into their homes to inject them with slow-released powerful psychiatric drugs with terrifying side effects. Some U.S. citizens have resorted to fleeing the country to escape this tyrannical debacle. But, most outrageous of all is the continuing practice of subjecting perfectly normal human beings who may be reacting to extreme stress in their lives, systemic oppression, trauma, or abject poverty and society's dysfunctions, to electroshock that literally fry their brains. After this crime against humanity is committed, the delusional psychiatrists then exclaim, [See, we told you he / she was crazy]. But as despicable and abhorrent as those practices may be, it is the millions of children, some as young as 3, who today are being drugged up for such thing as incompetent teachers who should know how to deal and teach children with attention deficit disorder, fidgeting students, children who don't follow rules, and little space cadets. Those are normal childhood developmental behaviors, which as a society, we have turned into diseases. Psychiatric medicines seemingly work for a time. Yes! And then in the long run they cause more problems than they are worth. Beside, you can never stop taking them, because they are designed to mess with your brain structural functions. UNM Hospital Employees need to sign this petition NOW. When we started the petition in April we expected UNM Hospital Leadership to bargain in good faith with employees. This spring, a perfect storm of melting snow, "bomb cyclone" rain, and climate change led to historic flooding across the central part of the United States. Now, farmers will have to destroy any grains that were contaminated by the floodwaters and there is currently no federal program to cover the catastrophic and largely uninsured stored-crop losses. With farm incomes in decline, largely due to Trump's trade war with China, many farmers had planned to sell their grain held in storage for money to live, pay their taxes or finance operations and plant more crops this spring. One of the main reasons maternal mortality has been rising in the United States is directly related to the barriers to reproductive health and abortion that anti-choice politicians have been putting forth in their State legislatures. California has consistently supported the rights of the LBGTQ community by instituting travel and/or business bans with States that discriminate against the LBGTQ community. Its time that California uses its economic power to support the rights and reproductive health of women as well.

It has come to our attention that Lido Island Community Association (LICA) Board of Directors (Board) and the Major Capital Improvements Committee (MCIC) have requested permission from the City of Newport Beach to redesign the medians, the windows to the bay, and other public spaces on the island. The cost is estimated upwards of $100,000. Due to this cost and the extent of the proposed landscape changes, we, the undersigned, request such improvements undergo further and more comprehensive input from residents. An island-wide improvement is planned. However, information has been shared inequitably among residents about proposed changes. In February, Lido Isle residents whose homes border the landscaped islands located on Piazza Lido received a hand-delivered flyer informing them of an MCIC decision to re-landscape the Piazza medians. The flyer also invited these particular residents to attend a February 26 meeting at the Clubhouse to review proposed plans for Piazza Lido only. For most recipients, this notice was the first news of the project although meeting minutes of LICA Board (2/13/19) and MCIC (1/31/19) appear in the March 2019 Lido Islander. Residents living on other streets, i.e. non-recipients of the flyer, were given no notice of the February 26 meeting. To wit, the landscaping of the Piazza Lido medians is part of a larger plan to re-landscape all medians on Lido (Via Antibes; Via Genoa and Via San Remo) as well as parks off main streets on the island (Via Firenze, Koron/Soud, Orvieto/Soud, Waziers/Soud, Antibes/Nord). While efforts to improve the island landscapes are appreciated, many of the residents whose homes face the medians, as well as others who pass by them daily, have specific concerns about the proposed improvements. At the same time, updating the Landscape Design Guidelines for Lido Isle is crucial. These guidelines will bring a comprehensive design to all landscapes on Lido in conformance with City standards and will serve as a template for future island improvements. Islanders deserve attractive landscapes consistent with other areas of comparable property values overseen by homeowner’s associations, for example, Newport Coast and Emerald Bay. Any proposed design should be in keeping with Lido’s Mediterranean heritage and consider water-wise garden practices as is consistent with Mediterranean landscapes. All Lido property owners’ dues ensure them input into decisions made in their interest. With the extraordinary resources available on Lido we should be setting the highest standard for innovation, conservation, and aesthetics within the City and beyond. While the undersigned appreciate the time and effort LICA has expended on these projects, we request further community-wide discussions before moving forward on any landscaping projects now under consideration. These issues affect all Lido residents. Concerns include the establishment of updated design guidelines by qualified professionals that provide for unity of design and plantings on Lido in conformance with City standards as well as equitable input by residents.

The opioid epidemic is swiftly sweeping across Colorado and is not just a public health emergency but a children’s health crisis. A study published in the Journal of Pediatrics found the number of children admitted to hospitals for opioid-related diagnoses has nearly doubled from 2004 to 2015. While there is a keen focus on supporting those battling addictions, educating medical providers, and altering the distribution of opioid prescriptions, to date there is no government-funding targeted at young people and preventing usage or offsetting the impacts of family and or peer opioid abuse. This fund would provide community organizations with funding to use evidence-based programming that will address opioid and related health risk factor prevention for children and youth up to age 19. Colorado's children need this fund!
