• Fox News Advertisers should end commercial accounts
Too many people here in the US watch Fox News exclusively for information about current events. The program hosts at Fox present inaccurate "spin", cherry-picked facts and outright lies concerning Donald Trump, Mitch McConnell and the Republican practices of stonewalling, gerrymandering, election fraud and financial corruption. Companies providing Fox News with advertising revenue should immediately end their involvement with the network.

  • A Serious Change: All Involved With CPS Cases Are To Be Held Accountable For Their Actions. Mand...
Big and Drastic changes need to be made. If children are our future then let's look out for all of them, not just the ones who are better off. Some of these kids escape foster care, get adopted or straighten out, but why can't we do something profound and positive to change the way things are done? Things have been done the same for way too long in this CPS and family court system and too often overlooked, ignored or people are not listened to. People who have been through CPS and not gotten their child/children back are not listened to. One reason I believe is that people want to think that they just didn't try hard enough, didn't do what the court asked of them, couldn't stay off drugs. I mean what other possibilities could there be, right? What purpose does it serve for CPS to lie? People who haven't been through it don't believe that CPS could be keeping good parents away from their kids, so they don't believe it and the cycle continues until someone decent somewhere with the power to help make this system more regulated steps in. It's happening way too often and without anyone getting hurt except children and families, our most important asset. Sign & Share, Share, Share.

  • Mrs. Sage
Mrs. Sage, a staff member and teacher at Walled Lake Central, has been transferred to Walled Lake Western High School against the will of our school, staff, and for reasons unrelated to her performance or position at Walled Lake Central High School, but rather due to reasons involving employees elsewhere in the district. Mrs. Sage is a loving member of the Walled Lake Central High School Staff and will, by any means necessary, contribute her efforts and devote her full attention to assist students and our school as a whole in developing as people and a community. Mrs. Sage is an invaluable member of our community and movements to transfer her must be stopped. This petition was created by and run by students of Walled Lake Central and is not in any way affiliated with efforts or movements by our staff members.

  • Accessiblity for state parks
Loving nature has always been an important part of my life. But now that I am in a wheelchair at the age of 18, needing to be amongst nature is vital to my physical and mental health. Nature provides JOY, RESPITE, and PEACE to many who seek out its beauty. Individuals with physical disabilities, such as myself, don't always have access to their state or national parks due to the lack of ACCESSIBILITY for all state and national parks. I would like to appeal to all physically challenged individuals and those who care about them to sign this petition.

  • Attorney Access to Travis County Clerk Files Online
Attorneys must have access to clerk's files. Attorneys are expected to know what is in the clerk's files. Attorneys are permitted to rely on subpoenas filed by the opposing party. And, yet, we cannot always see what has been filed. The paper clerk's files do not always reflect what has been e-filed. The county court at law judges do not always have online access to the motions and proposed orders that have been e-filed, and e-filed motions do not always make it into the paper files. There is a gap between technological ability and access. As the District Clerk has software that permits attorney access to clerks records online, there is no reason why the county clerk webpage should not permit the same access. We ask for attorney access to the county clerk's files through the county clerk's website.

  • Stop Banning Accounts
The reason for starting this petition is to stop Facebook from banning accounts because of their names. I find it most suitable to be given a warning or banning someone for posting inappropriate content or harassing other people. This would only work if that person was being reported too many times. Facebook is for fun, but the banning of accounts is making it harder for a lot of people to stay on this app. If the banning continues, people will switch to other apps that are in competition such as Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat.

  • Women's financial rights
Did you know that for every dollar a man makes a woman only makes 80.7 cents? And doesn't it seem unfair to you that women get paid less just because of their gender?! Also, did you know single women without children make 96 cents for every dollar a man makes, and married mothers only make 76 cents? We require a law which ensures that women get the same pay for the same work as men.

  • Reject the Oneonta Railyards GEIS as written
I am starting this petition because as a city resident, I do not want the City of Oneonta to bring more fracked gas and “bomb trucks” through the city where I live. As written, the GEIS document will allow: * Development on a brownfield (contaminated soil) which could be a danger to surrounding neighborhoods. * Paving over wetlands which could cause toxic stormwater and flooding in the 6th Ward. * Massive energy requirements needing a decompressor to fuel the Railyards with Compressed Natural Gas transported in “bomb trucks” on local roads and through dangerous intersections. * Pollution from Heavy Industry including a garbage-burning or “fracked” gas power plant. * Constant truck traffic, noise, lights, odors, and toxic emissions. Instead, the GEIS should: Protect our property values and quality of life, protect our air quality and health, prevent flooding and protect wetlands, and focus on clean and renewable energy. *** City of Oneonta residents- if you feel comfortable, please mention your Ward in the comments area when you sign***
