I'm a homeowner in El Sobrante, and I'd like to connect our communities better to San Francisco and Oakland. Currently commuting there includes a 30 minutes car ride to the nearest BART stop in El Cerrito or Orinda. Parking at those stations is overcrowded and can take 20 minutes to find spots in the neighborhoods. I believe we can get better access to nearby cities with a new BART stop near Pinole/Hercules. I'm for green transportation and the best and fastest option is BART. Join me and show your support by signing this petition.

We will provide a safe environment and host location for established American Poolplayers Association pool leagues. We are owned by pool players for pool players who love the sport of pool. Per Marsy's Law [California Constitution, Article I, Section 28(b) Penal Code Section 679.026), the rights of the victim's were denied in this court hearing; they were not given advance notice of these proceedings (section 7) and they were denied the right to be heard before this matter was decided (section 8). This invalidates the court's decision and the case must be re-tried.

The disabled communitiy is the most out spoken and least talked about topic in our country even to this day. I think it is finally time we adress the elephant in the room and put yourselves in a shoes of a disabled person to see the world through our eyes; see the obsticals;the struggles. As a disabled person I am standing up today to make and keep our country handicap accessable not just by putting up a ramp or sign but taking the time to think that we all deserve resonable accomodations.

I was deeply offended and disappointed when I read that Joe Biden plans to honor former President George W. Bush with the National Constitution Center’s Liberty Medal for his “commitment to veterans." As a veteran of the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, I’m joined by thousands of fellow post-9/11 veterans as part of About Face: Veterans Against the War who are disgusted to see Biden award this man for his newfound philanthropic interest in Veterans which is only necessary because he used us to unleash death and destruction that continues today. How could anyone agree to honor a man who used his wealth and privilege to avoid service in Vietnam but, as president of the United States, helped send the nation to war based on misinformation that was later proven to be false? Wars that forever changed the lives of millions of Iraqi and Afghan civilians. How could anyone honor a man who sent more than 2.7 million of my fellow service members into a war with “insufficient protection and aging equipment,” forcing many of us to resort to hiding behind rusty scrap metal that many of us called “hillbilly armor”? How could anyone honor a man who, on his way out of office, cut funding for healthcare veterans desperately needed, leading even his ally, American Legion National Commander Paul Morin, to “blame President [George W. Bush] and Congress for insufficient funding of the VA health care system”? George W. Bush sent many veterans like me into combat zones based on false information with poor planning, lack of preparation, and then cut his support for vital programs, effectively abandoning us when we returned home. He put us at the front line of military invasions that turned many of us into occupiers of countries we knew nothing about, and in some case torturers, and then left many of us homeless or disabled when we returned home. His carelessness with our lives is one of the causes leading more than 20 veterans a day to commit suicide. We know these wars continue to this very day in more than 7 countries, and Muslim communities here in the United States face harassment thanks to the policies the Bush Administration created. While former President Bush may have made headlines recently for public comments in support of U.S. veterans, and even gone so far as to paint bizarre guilt-laden portraits of us, I instead point to the words of the late Iraq war veteran Tomas Young, who in his final letter to Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney said: “You may evade justice but in our eyes, you are each guilty of egregious war crimes, of plunder and, finally, of murder, including the murder of thousands of young Americans—my fellow veterans—whose future you stole.” Signed, Ramon Mejía USMC on behalf of, About Face: Veterans Against the War (formerly Iraq Veterans Against the War)

I am recently a youth activist and environmentalist and I’m only just now realizing the imminent danger of climate change/global warming. It’s just time we pay reparations to Earth for hosting us human beings on this planet for 200,000 plus years.

Because I am sickened, angered, and highly saddened/ royally PISSED OFF at the constant polluting in this state, with Corporations & Politicians alike turning a blind eye to it all, not giving a damn one way or another if it harms our water supply, our food, our farms, our air, our pets & livestock, our businesses, our tourism, or our state's citizens. The GROSS NEGLECT or neglect-on-purpose or even refusal to change it, for the sake of profits, is MADDENING!!! This affects millions of people & animals, as well as directly affecting the course of nature!! Wise Up FL !!

We live in a rural neighborhood of 1-5 acre home sites. The proposed rezoning of this 15-acre plot of land will dramatically affect traffic, wildlife and the character of the neighborhood. We know we can not stop progress but 52 homes to an already congested area will be detrimental to the surrounding families and neighborhoods.

I am starting this petition because know first hand from experience the damaging affect addiction had on me and I wish it upon no one. I've grown tired and weary of this problem and would like to share what I've learned and give back to my community and country. Please make your voice heard. All support is deeply appreciated.

On a recent walk on this trail which runs between Asilomar and Drake streets in the Oakland hills, I was horrified to see that at least 13 trees have fallen near to or above either side of the fire trail. Some of those close to the trail have been cut up, but all parts (trunks, small branches with leaves and larger branches) were left behind, with some blocking a natural water drainage area and trail through the canyon area, creating a fire hazard rather than a fire prevention or firefighting area.

There is currently a petition against the composting project that Ecoverde has established in East Aurora, NY. This project is one of a kind and is taking steps toward making a cleaner future. Unfortunately, concerned neighbors are voting against it without getting their facts straight first.
