Senators Flake and McCain say NO to Kavanaugh!A judge on the Supreme Court is a lifetime position. Nominating a Judge that may alter the nation's top court for decades on positions such as women's reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, and economic equality are at stake.673 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Brianna Westbrook - Arizona State Senate Candidate Legislative District 22

Congress: Won't You Be My Neighbor?“Try your best to make goodness attractive. That’s one of the toughest assignments you’ll ever be given.” –Fred Rogers It is difficult to be kind in an unkind world. But we must try. This film really struck a chord with me, as I know it has with many others. I believe kindness can effect change.27 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lindsey Paxton

Protect our Elections from Russian influenceWE HAVE SEEN NO PROOF THAT THIS ADMINISTRATION OR CONGRESS IS ACTING IN ANY SUBSTANTIVE WAY TO STOP RUSSIAN MEDDLING IN OUR ELECTIONS WHICH HAS BEEN VERIFIED BY OUR INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES. WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LET THIS GO BY IN 2018 OR 2020. GOP CONGRESS IS COMPLICIT IN INDULGING TRUMP. THIS IS TREASON. WE MUST ACT TO STOP IT. WE NEED BIPARTISAN OVERSIGHT OF 1. OUR ELECTIONS AND 2. ANY CYBER EFFORTS TO STOP RUSSIAN MEDDLING, HACKING, AND CHANGING OR DELETING OF VOTES. TRUMP IS MEETING SOON w/PUTIN TO DISCUSS THIS VERY ISSUE AND GIVE HIM THE GO AHEAD. WHY ELSE WOULD HE AVOID ANY WITNESSES TO THE MEETING? THE TIME IS NOW. WE WANT BIPARTISAN OVERSIGHT OF ANY AND ALL INVESTIGATIONS OF RUSSIAN ATTEMPTS TO ALTER OUR ELECTION SOFTWARE AND HARDWARE. WE NEED A MASSIVE CYBER SECURITY EFFORT TO PROTECT OUR ELECTIONS. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IN JANUARY 2017. CLEARLY, TRUMP DOESN'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN. WE MUST ACT NOW OR LOSE OUR PRECIOUS RIGHT TO HAVE OUR VOTE COUNT.42 of 100 SignaturesCreated by NAN SANDERS

Senators: Reject SCOTUS AppointmentPresident Trump has repeatedly flouted the will of the majority, causing lasting harm to individuals from migrant children to our citizens with pre-existing healthcare conditions. The former touches me as a mother, the latter as well - willful sabotage of the ACA threatens my daughter’s well-being and even her life. Muslim Americans, LGBTQ community members, and many other people I count as friends are similarly harmed and perpetually on guard against new attacks on basic human and American rights by a president who rejects democratic debate and expresses authoritarian entitlement. Our faith in a fair, just land of opportunity for all is shaken, largely by the overreach of this President and the failure of Congress to provide reasonable checks on the President’s powers. These are extraordinary circumstances, including the active ongoing criminal indictments by Robert Mueller. The effect is a mass loss of confidence in our very democratic system. Our democracy will survive a mere delay in this president’s power to appoint a SCOTUS member until at least after 2018’s mid-term elections, when we’ve had a chance to express our preferences for representation. But our strained democracy will suffer irreparable harm if this president under these circumstances is green-lighted in his nomination for SCOTUS, especially where the nominee advocates even greater, nearly impenetrable presidential powers.176 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Patty Morris

Investigate Trump’s separation of children from their families NOWSince May of this year, the Trump Administration has been separating children from their families at the border in order to deter future migrants from coming across. This has been a horrific/devastating practice. Even babies have been taken away; a one-year-old child appeared before an immigration judge this week without his parents and cried uncontrollably the whole time, and the judge said he was “embarrassed” that he had to ask whether the child understood the proceedings. Federal courts have ruled that the Trump Administration MUST reunite children under five with their parents immediately, but Trump has failed to do so. Reports have shown that the Department of Homeland Security never collected records for some of these children, or in some cases destroyed them, or misplaced them, or never shared them. This might mean that children are NEVER reunited with their actual parents. This is a scandal, but so far Congressional Republicans have been missing in action. Tell Congress that they need to open an investigation on Trump’s horrible practice of separating families, and its apparent inability to reunite them.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Matt Hildreth

Remove the Proposed Housing Element Site#19 from the Encinitas Updated Housing PlanWe believe the proposed housing site, Map ID #19, consisting of 6 lots: 682 Clark Ave, 672 Clark Ave, 672 Clark Ave, 2 x Union Street and 556 Union Street if developed, will result in a substantial increase in traffic in our small neighborhoods and will create a health and safety issue. The proposed development (Map ID #19) is buried in our small neighborhood with access only via our rural, narrow streets which already act in a single lane capacity given the street widths combined with the residential street parking. This is true for ALL access points: Clark Ave, La Mirada Ave, Del Rio Ave, Del Riego Ave, and Union St. Additionally, a housing development is now in construction on Clark with no infrastructure or street development to support the increase in traffic. As such, we the undersigned, given the additional hazards the proposed development will present, and in order to protect our children, maintain the safety of our neighborhood and maintain the quality of life in Leucadia, request the City of Encinitas to remove the proposed at Map ID #19 from the housing plan.33 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Silvia Pezzoli

Protect Trans Students In OhioThe Ohio House Bill 658 introduced by Republican representatives Tom Brinkman and Paul Zeltwanger targets an incredibly vulnerable group. According to surveys conducted in recent years, as much as 48% of transgender participants attempted suicide. Their trust needs to be earned. They are being put into potentially dangerous situations if they are outed to a family who is unsupportive, and may face homelessness or abuse. Furthermore, they deserve to tell people on their own and under the right circumstances. Do not take away this basic right. Do not trivialize their experiences by inferring that they are wrong or do not know. We need to protect these students and provide them an environment in which they feel safe, not further isolate them. To quote TransEquality: "A national survey by GLSEN has found that 75% of transgender youth feel unsafe at school, and those who are able to persevere had significantly lower GPAs, were more likely to miss school out of concern for their safety, and were less likely to plan on continuing their education ."(https://transequality.org/issues/youth-students) Our children deserve better than this. They are entitled to the same education and safety that we intend to provide to our cisgender students. Do not take that away from us.58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Reina Dowdrick

Help London & Paris speak out!I recently boarded my animals in a facility in Gahanna, Ohio over the 4th of July weekend while I was in Las Vegas on my honeymoon. My animals were sick while I was gone and the facility failed to contact me to make me aware of the situation. They clearly state that the facility is required to contact the pets owners upon showing any signs of distress or illness. I was charged double boarding charges when my animals boarded in the same kennel. They said those charges are for the care of the animals. They also charged me $20 per dog due to it being a holiday weekend and them paying for extra help. When I arrived to pick them up they were covered in feces and urine. The receptionist even had gloves on when she brought them to us, meaning she had to have known they were disgusting. When I told them the dogs were covered in feces and urine they said they were gonna go wipe them off. They brought them back still with feces on them. They took them back a second time per my request and didn't even offer to bathe them. An hour after I got them home, I noticed they had really bad sneezing, coughing, fevers, lethargy, and the runs; not to mention I told the receptionist that one of my animals had green eye funk and she wiped it and ignored it. Clearly, that meant infection. Now its been 2 days and they have full blown kennel cough or upper respiratory infections. Why did they let them come home this sick? There are other reviews on YELP stating a man nearly lost his dog due to this facility administering the same shot to his animal 4 times because they couldn't keep the medical records straight. So many people say this place is more worried about how fat their pockets are vs sincere animal care. This place doesn't deserve to be open.35 of 100 SignaturesCreated by STEPHANIE L REINWALD

Tell Your Senators: Stop Brett KavanaughLast year I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The Affordable Care Act saved my life, and is why I am in remission today. President Trump's pick has come out publicly against the ACA, in his record and most recently in his speech to the Heritage Foundation. His record against women's healthcare is also clear. Our Senators must listen to us and vote NO on Kavanaugh.
