Good morning, We have spent many hours trying to get our local providers to give us internet service, but we have not been successful. We live at 2609 Branch Road, Raleigh NC 27610. Spectrum is the cable provider and AT&T the phone service and DSL providers. AT&T refuses because their lines are old and crappy and won't hold the DSL signal, so they now refuse to give us service saying we would take away from others instead of saying it would cost them too much to repair their crappy lines. Spectrum refuses to run line saying it is not cost effective to provide our few homes and businesses service even though they are the "only" provider allowed in our area. Other service providers have told us repeatedly, Spectrum is your provider and it is their area. At the end of the day, we pay hundreds of dollars to Version to get 1 Meg service and it is slightly better than dial up. If providers can get 10-15 Meg service to mountain tops, why can't they get it to us being 9 miles from downtown Raleigh. These greedy companies will take the gravy and screw the rest of us were it would cost them a little to get us service and not give them huge profits. We are at risk in a fire!

Last week I introduced legislation to prohibit the Trump Administration from indiscriminately separating immigrant kids from their parents. I believe Congress has a moral obligation to stand up and stop the federal government from ripping children from the arms of their parents. We should be in the business of keeping families together, not tearing them apart. Many of these families are fleeing violence and instability in search of security and safety here in the United States. It’s wrong to traumatize these kids further. Congress must take action right now.

Scott Pruitt’s EPA is trying to censor science. He wants to exclude important studies from decisions affecting our air, water, and health. Specifically, he would make it easier for the Trump administration to weaken clean air safeguards by excluding critical research about pollution’s impact on our health. This is the same tactic the tobacco industry used to "prove" cigarettes aren’t harmful to our health. We can’t let Pruitt’s EPA get away with it! Add your name: Tell the EPA to side with science, not Trump and Scott Pruitt!

Because sports should unite us and help us rise above petty politics. Corporations bowing to this type of behavior is the exact opposite of what global sporting competitions like the World Cup are trying to accomplish. Nike should help heal these divisions not exacerbate them.

My son Zeph Pitt, has a number of medical issues,. When he was arrested, over 3 years ago, he had just been diagnosed with Hepatitis C, had a torn A/C joint in his shoulder; a mass in one testicle, with pain and swelling, and degenerative disc disease with osteoarthritis. He was transferred to four facilities during the two and a half years awaiting sentencing. Each move meant starting over as medical records do not follow the inmate! Now sentenced to a federal facility so remote, it is not near any adequate medical treatment. It has been over 7 months and no MRI yet. It took almost 9 months to get the MRI at the first jail in 2015. His labs show the Hepatitis is getting worse; but no treatment is being given. The muscles in his right bicep and chest muscles are atrophying, which causes great weakness on the right side. And just as an aside, it took 4 months to get approved for a tooth cleaning. and the approval letter stated it would be a 12 or 18 month wait for the dental care. The worst part of course, is he didn't even go out and commit a crime! (Not just a Mom being blinded.) He made dumb choices long ago, as a young man, paid the price, and had no intention of breaking the law... Long story, we have an appeal in the works, but meanwhile I'd like to keep him alive so he can get a chance to be the man he wants his children to know

As a father, who regularly spends quality time with his child without his spouse I find it difficult to bring them to certain places. It is difficult because there are no changing tables in most mens restrooms. I want to make it mandatory to have them in every mens restroom.

We are demanding Mayor Wheeler's direct accountability and responsibility for failed policies which are driving - not deterring - crime. Americans were outraged in 1982 when they learned that the Pentagon was paying $600 for a toilet seat (both parts) and the Pentagon and Congress swore up and down they would get things under control. Well now it’s 30 years later and this scandal has gotten 10 times worse. But the toilet is just the tip of the iceberg. The reality is that the Pentagon is so cozy with defense contractors that this kind of corruption runs rampant. And they’re getting fat with taxpayer money. The first step is to let Congress know that we’re wise to them and that we’re not going to take it anymore. And the way to begin is to sign this petition and pass it on. No one is above the law. Too many cases have revealed a lot more people have been incarcerated and/or put on death row; simply by a corrupted system; (Thank GOD for DNA). Prosecutors, Judges. LEO's, and even elected officials who campaign on upholding civil and especially constitutional rights are NOT being held accountable. Even when there has been exonerations and releases, and even in some states 'restitution' for their injustices; those responsible are not being held criminally liable, (as they should be). Resignations and offers of retirement should not even be considered! Too much and for far too long has caused irreparable damage to an individual and their families.

President Trump's efforts to alienate our Allies and befriend our Enemies does not represent the will of the majority of Americans and must be checked.
