I respect the human rights of the marginalized and disrespected. I haven't been personally affected, but I sympathize and respect those who haven been.

I am a Maryland resident who believes our driver’s license information should remain confidential. Even if undocumented immigrants are here illegally, their ability to drive with licenses and insurance keeps us all safe. There are better ways to address the problem of illegal immigration than making our roads more dangerous and turning our MVA staff into federal government informers.

Since then, the committee has refused to investigate any of the alleged financial conflicts of interest of the Trump family, but instead has been investigating the witness. We deserve to know, once and for all, if our President has financial entanglements that compromise his ability to act in the best interests of the American people.

I believe that an investigation into the identity theft of over 2 million Americans involved in the comment board of the FCC on net neutrality should be looked into. It is worth looking into whether these cases of identity theft were caused by radical random individuals or by people in power or corporations. I believe that people that steal people's identities should be held accountable.

I've lived my life here 15 years and Dennis Township and Eldora haven't had nearly as many drug-related issues going on as other cities in Cape May County. Why would it be a good idea to bring a methadone clinic into our peaceful, quiet neighborhood full of children? Bringing this methadone clinic into our neighborhood will only cause issues. There's an illegal New Jersey Transit stop at the location where this new clinic wants to open doors. This is a recipe for disaster.

Real Estate Companies from.outside of Colorado Springs have purchased apartment buildings affordable to Working Class People and Senior Citizens. We the undersigned demand an ordinance prohibiting more real estate investors, investment companies, or any other entity from purchasing apartment buildings in the working class areas of Colorado Springs with the intention of evicting current tenants and raising rents to extremely unaffordable rates. We the undersigned also demand an ordinance to bring Rent Control to Colorado Springs.

Wikipedia indicates plainclothes New York police officer Frank Serpico reported evidence of systemic police corruption in 1967. He contributed to a New York Times front-page story on corruption in the NYPD, which drew national attention to the problem in 1970. Mayor John Lindsay appointed an investigative panel that became the Knapp Commission. Serpico was shot in the face in 1971 under questionable circumstances while attempting a drug arrest. His backup was nowhere to be seen and his colleagues refused to make a "10-13" dispatch to police headquarters declaring an officer had been shot. An elderly man who lived in the next apartment called emergency services to report a man had been shot. Other officers arrived and transported Serpico to the hospital. He survived and retired in 1972. He continues to speak out about police brutality, civil liberties, and police corruption. He prefers the term "lamp lighter" to "whistle blower" as one who alerts the public to danger. News reports state Baltimore, Md. police Det. Sean Suiter was killed on November 15, 2017, the day before he was scheduled to appear before a federal grand jury pursuant to his knowledge of facts regarding a 2010 crime and 2017 indictment as part of a police corruption investigation of which he was never a target. Reportedly, on the evening he was killed Suiter approached a "suspicious" man during an unrelated investigation. Shots were fired and Suiter's partner was later seen on a surveillance video taking cover across the street. Police Commissioner Kevin Davis indicates there is no information connecting Suiter's murder to the corruption case but requested the FBI to take over the investigation. That request has been refused. Suiter, survived by a wife and 5 children, was shot with his own gun. Although his clothes were said to show evidence of a struggle, there is a possibility that survivor benefits may be curtailed or denied if Suiter's death is ruled a suicide since he was shot with his own gun. The homicide remains under investigation. As a retired police officer, I know most cops are honest, dedicated, and hardworking. But as with every profession, there are some "bad apples". People often ask, "Why don't the good cops turn in the bad cops?" Sometimes the "good" ones are silenced by peer pressure or threats. All the circumstances surrounding the shooting of Det. Suiter may never be known, but sometimes the "good" cops are silenced by violence. Police officers courageous enough to be "lamp lighters" need to have protective measures available to them. This could take the form of an assignment change, a leave of absence, or other measures depending on the circumstances. Further, matters of assignment, discipline, and promotion should be monitored to lessen the specter of reprisal. This should be mandated by law and strictly enforced. The net effect should discourage malfeasance among the ranks and bolster much needed public trust in the police

We are students in Ms. Bicknell's 7th Period APUSH class which will have its midterm THIS Friday, the 12th. We believe that in order to perform as well as we know we could, we need more than one class between the test and now to study. Considering that we are coming off of a break and there is no purpose period this week to have a full review session, we would like the test to be moved. We understand that this will mean the Midterm will happen on a History testing "blackout" day, and we are ok with that.

Safety-Net hospitals like Norwegian American Hospital, are completely reliant on Medicaid funding from the hospital assessment program which is set to expire in June. Countless patients and employees depend on the services and economic activity created by these hospitals. We need your help to send a message to Springfield that any cuts to Medicaid funding will negatively impact jobs and patient care.

All of which were held under gunpoint primarily within the Iolani Palace to Annexate its governing body who were residing and managing the Hawaiian Monarchy who once managed the Hawaiian People and their citizens of Hawaii. We demand justice to our Native Kanaka and their descendants of today. The U.S. Government needs to compensate the Native Kanaka. U.S. Government has been illegally occupying The Hawaiian Islands and have been bankrupt since 1933. Justice needs to be served.

The citizens of Columbus MN, Lino Lakes, Forest Lake, Hugo, and Centerville all face a public health and environmental threat. This threat comes in the form of a proposed asphalt plant which is to be located in the flood plain, adjacent to Rice Creek, removing several acres of wetlands sitting on top of the primary aquifer that supplies the entire twin cities metro area.
