• Unidos por Puerto Rico money for the people in need, not the parks
Use money donated to Unidos por Puerto Rico to help people who lost their homes to Hurricane Maria, and not to fix parks. The proposal from Beatriz Roselló and her “Office of the First Lady”, does not represent the intentions of the millions of people who donated money. Money should be used to build/rebuild homes of those in need.

  • Save Women for Afghan Women
I am a mother and a teacher who believes all children are our future in a global world. The four current centers of Women for Afghan Women (and there is need for more) currently cost the U.S. two million dollars annually. There is less than a year to change the U.S. government decision to stop this funding. https://www.womenforafghanwomen.org

  • Make Internet Service a Public Utility for Washington state
The internet is being attacked by corporations and their greed. A free and open internet is a benefit to everyone and by making the internet a public utility, it will ensure that it's availability to everyone in the state of Washington is guaranteed.

  • Make Internet Service a Public Utility for Illinois
The FCC has voted against net neutrality. We must take a stand to protect the people's access to internet here in Illinois from the inevitable corporate censorship and greed that we can already see in the outrageous rates charges and poor service. The best way to do this is to give regulatory power over internet service to a representative body of the people of Illinois

  • Tell the Maine Legislature: Vote NO on LD 1726, the "Block the Ballot" bill
What are the major progressive accomplishments in this decade in Maine? A higher minimum wage. Expanded health insurance for struggling working people. Ranked choice voting. How did we get them? Through popular referendum votes. So what is the response of the political establishment? LD 1726, which would cripple the referendum process by prohibiting the collection of signatures on election days. We are winning on issues, so now they are attempting to change the rules and put restrictions on our democracy. Please join me and say "NO" to LD 1726. Say "NO" to changing the process that has allowed us to make progress for all Mainers.

  • Rep. Ann Wagner: Reject the NRA
Our country is awash in guns. The NRA has become the perpetrators of violence through their continued cash flow to legislators in order to prevent enactment of common sense laws, which most Americans favor.

  • NO DOUBLE TAXATION; REPEAL $10,000 SALT CAP
It's about tax justice. Double taxation on the same money is fundamentally wrong and unjust. Restore the full federal tax deductibility of all money paid for state and local taxes including property, sales, and state and local income taxes retroactive to January 1, 2018.

  • Morgan County Weather Ordinance- Animal Care Guidelines
Living in Morgan County for a few months has brought to my attention the lack of responsibility by pet owners. The County is considered a farming community and allows less restrictive laws about keeping animals out in harsh weathered environments. By county law, the animal only needs a water source and 3 walls- even if the water is frozen solid and the "shelter" allows any rain/snow/hail/etc. in and traps the animal from getting the proper shelter or even traps them from getting out. Animals bring families together, make owners a livelihood, and bring comfort, if we are not taking care of them like they care for us, the community will crumble. Just think of how that can impact communities across the nation.
