NO to chemical industry insider Michael Dourson leading EPA toxics office!Clean and safe water is a human right. Full stop. Michael Dourson has spent his career helping companies like Dupont shirk responsibility for contaminating groundwater with dangerous chemicals known to harm kids and families. How does he make sense working at the very office charged with protecting us? He doesn't. The Senate could vote on Dourson any day. Let’s make sure our voices are heard loud and clear. Our health, our families and our water are NOT for sale to the chemical industry. Join us in telling the Senate NO to Michael Dourson.343 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Karen, MomsRising.org

In support of the real Al FrankenAl Franken is one of our most valuable public servants. He works hard and strongly supports women’s rights. His crude horseplay and unwanted French kiss were wrong, but in no way equate with the behavior of recently uncovered sexual predators.102 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Eloise Hamann

Support the Fix NICS 2017 Act to Keep Firearms Out of the Hands of Domestic Violence PerpetratorsThe flaw in our nation’s background check system is increasingly evident, as the program is only as good as the information provided to it. When records prohibiting domestic abusers from gun possession are excluded, dangerous individuals are able to obtain guns and do harm to our communities. The Fix NICS Act will help to save the lives of victims of domestic violence and the communities in which they live, by ensuring that domestic violence records are entered properly and consistently into the background check system, and that federal and state authorities accurately report relevant criminal history records in accordance with existing law. Specifically, the bill mandates that the number of records being entered (along with the number not being entered) be publicly reported on the U.S. Department of Justice website, informed by Attorney General and Department of Defense input. Federal agencies who fail to properly report records will be penalized, states who improve reporting will be incentivized, and additional federal funding will be directed to accurate reporting. We urge you to sign this petition in support of this bill, to address a nationwide, systemic problem and ultimately protect women, children and men from future harm.802 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by National Domestic Violence Hotline & National Coalition Against Domestic Violence

Ask Target to Stop Torturing Turkeys!Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) recently investigated Norbest farm in Utah and found sick animals being trampled and eaten alive. One of the largest turkey suppliers in the nation, Norbest touts its practices as “humane, with the health and comfort of the birds of paramount importance.” But DxE’s Open Rescue team found sickening cruelty. DxE found records showing hepatitis in the farm, as well as birds with massive tumors on their faces. Investigators saw live birds being ripped apart to pieces in the crowded, filthy locations and baby birds with their faces and toes cut off. While investigating the farm, DxE’s open rescue team saw Abby and immediately recognized that she urgently needed medical care - Abby was dragging herself across the farm with a crooked neck. Activists rushed her to receive veterinary care and, today, Abby lives happily at a sanctuary. While Abby is safe from harm, millions of other turkeys are suffering a horrific fate. Sign the petition and ask Target to cut ties with all animal-abusing suppliers. NorbestCruelty.com1,006 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Direct Action Everywhere

Curb the Concrete on Collins Avenue, Miami BeachThe proposed development for 5775 Collins Avenue, formerly known as the Marlborough House, will destroy two important view corridors along historic Collins Avenue. As detailed in the City of Miami Beach's planning report, the developer should rotate the building 90 degrees or increase each side set back by at least 50 percent to preserve two view corridors of light and air for the entire Miami Beach community that has existed for 54 years. It is important to note that we are not against new development, but want the very best development for the Miami Beach community, and this proposal falls short. Furthermore, this proposed development is NOT in compliance with Design Review Criteria. Specifically, guidelines 5, 6, 7, 12 and 15. Unlike the existing Marlborough House which is oriented perpendicular to Collins Avenue, the current proposal is oriented parallel to the street and broadsides the beach. For perspective, the proposal diminishes both side yards that serve as important view corridors by over half.102 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Save Collins

Stop The Enabling Of Annihilation's of Black and Brown CommunitiesI need this political climber to press charges in my child's case against San Francisco police officers that executed my Mario Woods. You will see the blatant evidence on video of all the violations of my child's civil rights that were recklessy disregarded. My child was not a threat and he was one victim among many executions at the hands of the San Francisco's racist police dept. The District Attorney, Gascon, has yet to make any charges for all of the executions and annihilation's that this racist dept has committed. His record when it comes to charging officers in any format when it comes to Black and Brown communities is shameful. here is just a a small history regarding his stance on police brutality; it speaks volumes to his stance of police brutality cases: Idriss Steeley June 2001 No Charges; Kenneth Hardy July of 2011 NO Charge; Oshaine Evans Oct 2014 No Charge; Amalcar Lopez June 2015 No Charge. As of my child Mario Woods' execution date December 2, 2015, the DA is still refusing to bring charges. He also brought no charges forward in the case of Jessica Nelson whom was executed several months after my young child, Jessica was executed by SFPD May 2016 and since the SFDA states he would prioritize his cases-- this doesn't seem like a priority to me. And Louis Gongora whom was executed by SFPD in April of 2016....... These are just a few executions and annihilation's in the wake of all the racist mindsets that exist in this police dept that use shooting minorities as the new lynching. This SFDA Gascon has garnered the reputation of being a criminal and a racist and it is public record that he is a part of the good ole boy clique, who consistently puts his political agenda over his humanity. I need the DA to finally do the right and decent thing and bring charges against the police whom already had pending investigations on them of abuse and excessive force on record! This DA needs to be fired and all the cops that have emailed and texted while on the job about how much they hate black folk and our community need to go as well! I need help to make this happen.62 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gwendolyn Woods

Fox News: Fire Judge Jeannine PirroThis is important to me because I believe that people shouldn’t make threats like that. There is so much wrong with statement. First and foremost, Pirro is setting the stage for crackpot Trump supporters to take to the streets in an outburst of violence. She didn't bother to offer any objection to the uprising she's predicting. That will serve as permission to the StormTrumpers who believe that their Leader is God's anointed savior of the alt-right's America. She should also be indicted and arrested120 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Abraham Alrai

Equal Opportunity Employment for FelonsI am a convicted non-violent felon. I have turned my life around and am now in college working hard for a secure future and I have been so greatly limited to what fields I can and cannot study while in college. I feel as though I should have the same opportunity for the pursuit of happiness as any other American Citizen by having an opportunity to explore the medical field.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lindsay Williams
