We need ranked choice voting to be implemented effectively in time for the March election. The voters of Santa Fe chose to improve and increase the representative nature of our democratic process through ranked choice voting. Now a judge has ruled after an evidentiary hearing, that the City is obliged to implement it. It's time to move forward and ensure its effectiveness. No more delays.

Donald Trump's bigotry hit a new low, as he retweeted several anti-Muslim videos from the deputy of Britain First, a far-right fascist party in the U.K.--drawing condemnation even from Prime Minister Theresa May. This isn't the first time that he's used the social media platform to spread anti-Muslim rhetoric--and Twitter needs to stop pretending that Trump's hate speech doesn't have consequences. Since Trump took office, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has recorded a nearly doubling of anti-Muslim hate crimes. And in incident after incident, we've heard anti-Muslim slogans or even simply the name "Trump" used as a rallying cry before racist attacks. Enough is enough. Twitter can't continue allowing Trump to use its platform to encourage violence against Muslims. They need to shut down Trump's account and stop enabling his hate speech.

His tweets are normalizing hate and racism as well as violence. He is promoting "the views" of our nation and we cannot stand for it. His tweets as well as all the fake news on Facebook must be eradicated. Let the truth prevail. Let's take away his means of communication in the form of 140 characters.

In light of the current sexual abuse and assault scandals, including staffers in Trump's White House as well as Matt Lauer at NBC, it's time that Mark Burnett releases NBC's 'Apprentice Tapes' to make Donald Trump accountable for his actions.

Representing the vast majority of Americans who oppose the GOP Tax Scam, a group of disabled people protested the Senate Budget Committee hearing on November 28. "I am living with AIDS and cancer," said one. "If this bill is passed, people like me will die. Vote against this bill. Don't kill us, kill the bill!” They were promptly arrested by Capitol Police, with some even dragged out in their wheelchairs. The GOP tax bill will cut taxes for large corporations & the mega-wealthy at the expense of the rest of us, while also stripping 13 million people of their health care. It is an outrage. I have not been affected, but it is pretty cruel and has many errors in the system.

The 3.5 million American citizens of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have no representation in Congress -- they need all of us to demand action from our elected leaders. Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont has introduced legislation to mobilize all the resources and assets needed to restore electricity, provide clean water and food, a safe haven and access to medical care. Senators Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Ed Markey, and Richard Blumenthal are original co-sponsors. The plan includes a total waiver of the cost of matching funds to receive federal assistance, rejects privatization efforts, and promotes a new resilient, decentralized and renewable energy-based grid. Congress needs to act — every member of the House and Senate should co-sponsor and pass this critical legislation to help our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Now, twenty-two women have come forward with allegations of sexual harassment or assault against Donald Trump. Most recently, a renowned columnist, E. Jean Carroll has come forward and shared her own account of sexually inappropriate behavior from Donald Trump in the 90s. According to E. Jean, Donald Trump sexually assaulted her in the fitting room of Bergdorf Goodman. In her own words, "The minute he closed the door — boom — he threw me against the wall and tried to kiss me. I fought," she said. "It was shocking. It was against my will." As is expected, Donald Trump has denied any such allegations, but how can we trust a man that has been caught on video gloating about grabbing women by their private parts? E. Jean Carroll is the 22nd woman to come forward and describe her own experiences of sexually inappropriate behavior from the sitting president. It is long past time to just listen to women. Action needs to be taken by those in power. The Justice Department, Congress, and NY Attorney General's Office need to open up an investigation looking into the sexual assault and harassment allegations against Donald Trump. **This petition was launched in November 2017 but has been updated as women have come forward with new allegations.

I have been an activist out here for years, and people know and are scared for their families if they come forth and tell what they know. These people get killed, children hurt, and the victims of murdered people have experienced this over and over again with losing more family members due to retaliation because of discoveries. It's a mother out here now where her child was killed in a drive-by. Now the family of the one who committed the murder has retaliated and almost killed again. Please help stop all this bloodshed. Many men are acknowledging and being held accountable for sexual improprieties. A number of women have accused our President of past abuses which he has neither acknowledged nor been held accountable for.
