Amend the United States Constitution to repeal the Second Amendment which has become an impediment to the public safety. Allow the States to regulate weapons and arms in accordance with their constitutions and laws. Allow the Federal Government to adopt such national gun control laws and restrictions as may be needed for the public good.

National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre defended his proposal to put armed guards in every school in the country. This is his solution to prevent future tragedies like the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting that took the lives of 20 children and six adults. "If it's crazy to call for armed officers in our schools to protect our children, then call me crazy."

As a mother of two children, I'm frustrated by the all-or-nothing rhetoric around gun control and Second Amendment rights. I believe that we can and should make our lives safer by regulating gun ownership in a way similar to how we regulate car ownership. I do not consider these any great threat to our Second Amendment rights. These programs could be paid for with their own registration and licensing fees.

Blacks make up about 12% of the US population, but make up about 80% of the prison population. Nearly 800,000 Black Men are in Prison. The United States has 5% of the world's population and 25% of the world's incarcerated population. They are merely Slaves forced to work for pennies on a dollar while the corporations they work for profits Trillions, The Prison Industry profits in the Billions Therefore making them Political Prisoners of a Racially-Based-Economic-War to most are unaware. The War on (Blacks) Drugs with disproportionately incarceration rates1 in every 15 African American men and 1 in every 36 Hispanic men are incarcerated in comparison to 1 in every 106 white men Right Now! If Blacks don't have it bad enough with Social Isolation, Poor Environments because of Economic Discrimination with a High & Raising Unemployment Rate, to make matters Worst getting Stopped, Harassed, Arrested, Beaten or even Killed at the Hands of Police for virtually nothing other that "Being Black" Must Stop! PASSAGE OF SANE GUN CONTROL LEGISLATION. TOO OFTEN, AS DAYS PASS, THE URGENT NEED FOR GUN CONTROL SEEMS TO FADE. IT MUST NOT, AND AS GRANDPARENTS, WE MUST ADD OUR VOICES TO THE CHORUS DEMANDING STRICTER GUN COTROL LAWS.

I have 11 great grandchildren, so far, living in different States.. The culture they are going to be immersed in should not be that of violence which begets further violence. To be sensible the use of firearms should be sparingly utilized.

Cuomo proposed that legally obtained firearms be confiscated from law abiding citizens. He is clearly insane and is no longer mentally stable enough to perform the duties of his office.

After the devastation at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the president has claimed that he will make gun control a priority issue. On the presidential website, Whitehouse.gov, a person can choose to question or comment on 17 subjects, such as 'Health Care' or 'Taxes' or 'Civil Rights'. 'Gun Control' is not listed. If gun control is indeed a priority issue then at the very least it should be added to this list.
