• Voting Rights for all
I would like to see the Democratic National Committee or any democratic PAC, to use some of the advertising dollars, which in my opinion are a waste, to assist low income individuals with the funds necessary to obtain a state identification card. Many of the low income and elderly cannot afford the small fee, nor do they have the transporation to get to their applicable state offices to obtain the ID. Helping democrats DIRECTLY is more cost efficient than a TV ad which most people are immuned to at this point.

  • NO I.D reqired for American citizens to vote for President of U.S.A
No American citizen should need a Photo I.D in order to vote for United States President. As long as you are 18 years old and a citizen it should be a right for any person, race, sex, to vote, without limitations. To many people have died, bleed, lost their lives in American history for any political view to stop any citizen the God given right to vote for the highest office in this land or any or political office. We should demand as a Country that as long as you are a United States citizen you should have the right to vote without limitations in the 21century.

  • The failing of America's Democracy
All across America violence is becoming a culture event, this violence is attacking women, men and children and their is no discussion to protect our families. The burden of Justice to go after white collar criminals and violent gang members should not fall upon familes. The inhumanity on the ground from poverty to violence makes America look like a third world country and it is time to go to work for our children and not for criminals. I would never believe that our Government would have a propensity for violence against children. Thank you

  • Stop dog breed discrimination
Searching for a home or apartment to live in can be a hassle when you own an "aggressive breed." As the owner of a German Shepherd, I should know. However, any logical person can understand that it's not the dog or breed, but the owner and the way the pet is raised. It's time to stop blaming the wrong end of the leash and accept dogs for what they are instead of discriminating against them (as people do to one another). Any breed can be aggressive.

  • Delay PA Voter ID Law
I don't think the vast number of voters know just how disruptive and dangerous the new Voter ID Law will be if it goes into effect this November. Allow me to share my own eye-opening experience. I have been voting for over 40 years, 20 at my current polling place. But, I decided to check my driver's license against my voter registration after reading some of the stories about folks who may not be able to vote this fall. Turns out, my driver's license identifies me as "Janet A. Gray" and my voter registration identifies me as "Janet G. Gray." A call to the Allegheny County Election Bureau confirmed that because of the discrepancy with my middle initial, I would not be able to vote. Now I must fill out a special form to ensure there will be no problem. So even though I have been voting at the same place for 20 years and am personally recognizable to the polling officials there, I would be prevented from voting in November because of my middle initial. There is no doubt that many voters will be unable to vote in November due to this harsh new law. The state of Pennsylvania first has an obligation to ensure that all citizens who are eligible to vote are able to do so, as is their right, before the law is implemented. That will obviously not be the case in November. Our governor and legislature must halt implementation for a year so all citizens can get the proper ID, and provide free voter ID cards through the election bureaus, local government entities, and by any other means necessary. Since sending my story to friends, I have already heard from a handful who may have the same problem. We are talking about taking the right to vote away from folks who have been voting for 20 years or more. Implementation of this law must be delayed.

  • No religious Indoctrination in Kentucky Schools
Recently there are has been a push by Kentucky Republicans to force Kentucky Schools to teach creationism in science classes to indoctrinate what is "faith"and "religion" based dogma as potential truth. My daughter Emily does not need to be assaulted with the "faith" of others insisting a religious myth is true. Public school is not about indoctrinating faith and this needs to be halted. This indoctrination of faith imposes on the sanctity of families to instill in their children that families system of beliefs and means of discerning truth.

  • Pocatello Human Rights City Ordinance
Discrimination against a person for being gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender is wrong. The City of Pocatello should enact a Human Rights City Ordinance to protect all its residents from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. An all-inclusive and welcoming city fosters economic progress and good relations among city residents, which is essential to the growth and vitality of the city's neighborhoods and businesses.

  • Just say NO to PA's Voter Photo ID Law
Pennsylvania's new voter ID law will require voters to show valid photo ID at the polls at this fall's election for president and state and local offices. Pennsylvania does not have a voter fraud problem. Requiring voter ID at the polls will mostly hurt women, the poor, the elderly, and people of color.

  • Take down "Heterosexual Awareness Month" from Facebook
The Facebook page, "Heterosexual Awareness Month", was established some time in June. It has consistently posted anti-GLBTQI* messages and images, and takes part in fear-mongering and demonising the Queer community. It is a gathering place for those that openly hate queer folk, and they are trying to forward their mission with t-shirts, pamphlets, and booths/tables in public places. They are a vehicle of hatred and need to be shut down.

  • Husted let OH early vote on weekends
My name is Kevin Davis, and the reason why, I'm starting this petition is because while Secretary of State Husted has done a somewhat good thing by having uniform voting hours, they're only for early voting during the week though, not the weekend, still trying to suppress the vote here in Ohio, which is still wrong.
