Support Justice Johnson's StruggleJustice Bernette Johnson joined the Louisiana Supreme Court in 1994, elected to a special seat created to remedy racial disparities in Louisiana's justice system. Now, she's the lone black Supreme Court justice in a state where nearly one-third of residents are black. Johnson thought she was next in line on the seven-member panel to be chief justice, based on seniority. But some of her colleagues say that's not the case. The state constitution specifies that the judge with the longest service would automatically fill that position. Justice Johnson has been on the court longer than anyone other than Chief Justice Kimball.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bruce W. Johnson

Why Native Americans Don't Use $20 BillsAndrew Jackson is glorified by his portrait on the $20 bill of the United States, along with George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Alexander Hamilton, Ulysses Grant, and Benjamin Franklin. Jackson was the worst type of slaveholder and was responsible for the cruel and brutal forced removal of Native Americans from their homelands to Oklahoma known as the Trail of Tears. It would be a simple and meaningful statement against genocide to remove him from our currency.76 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Steve McDaniel

Boycott Maker's Mark LoungeSince they want to continue their blatant racial discrimination, it's time hit them where it hurts! No equal treatment of all patrons = no business! This petition was started due to the incident that occurred on August 18, 2012 to Will Green as well as a way for those other individuals who have also experienced racial discrimination while patrionizing this business to tell their story.2,051 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Christina Malone

Support Early Voting in OhioAfter significant pressure, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has now announced that he is ordering "all 88 county boards of elections to stay open the same hours this fall". While this is a significant step forward for voting rights in Ohio, the hours selected by the Secretary of State are still shorter than those available in 2008. Further, the rules do not allow for any in-person early voting on weekends, the best time for many folks to vote. We're calling on Jon Husted to support in-person voting hours on weekends.10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michelle Burstion-Young

Do not restrict voting in Summit County OhioOhio Secretary of State Jon Husted has personally acted to restrict early voting in counties with large Democratic populations, where in previous elections up to 82% of early voters did so on nights or weekends. Now, Secretary of State Husted said he is considering limiting early voting hours across the state in the run-up to the November election, and will "be listening to local boards of elections' concerns on this issue."10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Cathy Givens

Boycott Sochi! When the winter games begin in Sochi, the singers from Pussy Riot will still be in labor detention camps. The Russian government has banned all gay organizations at Sochi and cannot guarantee for the safety of GLBT athletes or spectators. In an atmosphere like that, how can the world celebrate Olympic peace?55 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robb Kvasnak
