• Repeal the "Urgency Ordinance"!
Our First Amendment Rights are most important to our freedom and democracy. The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors on March 27, 2012 passed an "Urgency Ordinance" that limits our freedom of speech. This over-reaction was caused by their unwillingness to deal respectfully with Occupy Eureka and the homeless and mental health issues at the courthouse. On June 19, 2012, they could decide on a new ordinance that applies to all County properties. Please sign this petition.

  • Keep Neal Boortz from retiring until 1/21/14
If you listen to Neal Boortz on a daily basis you know that he impacts millions of lives in a positive way by pointing out what is absolutely "CRAZY" that is happening in the United States and keeping citizens focused on the Real Deal! Even though he made the choice to retire on Monday, January 21, 2013 we as his loyal listeners and supports need to give a concert style encore cheer for just one more year to get us into the next presidential cycle with reason! You only have to look at his "about us" page on the bottom left http://www.boortz.com/s/about/ to know we still need him a bit longer. Through this process I would like to meet Neal in person and like millions of Americans thank him in person and ask him to stay for "1 More Year"...

  • Click it or Ticket Law is Unconstitutional
While using seat belts saves some lives, doing so can injure and kill others. The choice should be up to the individual, not insurance lobbyists and government.

  • individuals should not be allowed to have so much money
Especially in this world of deprivation , starvation , i dont feel an individual person should accumulate far more money than they could ever spend. I understand money is essential and is essential also to motivate people and business , and is essential for any type of growth . However i feel it should be illegal to aquire vast amounts of individual assets .What is enough , that is the question , how much money should be allowed by law for an individual to have , well lets begin with 1 billion , surely that is a crime for one person to have this amount , when there are innocent children dying of starvation , 100 million , again that amount is far too much , there should be an acceptable limit , for example 50 million pound sterling or its equivalent , surely that is enough for any one individual to have , they would still be rich , it is also an amount that people could aspire to , enough to motivate people and buisness for the essential growth that is required. Make it illegal to own so much

  • Legalize Gay Marriage in New Jersey!
More and more states are banning and outlawing gay marriage. The most recent state was a surprise. North Carolina, a supposedly "progressive" state, outlawed the basic human right of matrimony just because the humans happened to be of the same sex. I live in New Jersey. I am family friends with a gay couple who have been living happily for years. I want to attend their wedding and help bring social justice to homosexuals in this great state of ours. Tell our state legislature to get a bill passed. Get them to pressure Chris Christie into signing it. If he vetoes it, help the Democrats representing our state shove it up his throat and allow these US Citizens the same matrimonial rights as heterosexuals/

  • Increasing Minimum Wage
Democrats in the House have proposed raising minimum wage to $10 and hour. Raising minimum wage will allow large numbers of people, particularly women and minorities, to better support themselves and their families. We all know that America tends to look down on individuals who are not completely self sufficient, but also creates systems that make it impossible for people to meet that goal. Raising minimum wage will allow countless people more dignity and respect, as well as breathing room in their budgets.

  • STOP RICO LAW FROM BEING PASSED ON STATE LEVEL
If RICO gets passed on the State level I assure you all our black children will be at risk for unfair targeting under this act. Illinois is a corrupt state as it is and with entrusting them with this type of power it will surely be abused. Every black person will be labeled a "known gang member" and would then be subject to prosecution under this law. Sign to stop this NOW!!!

  • Meditation in Prison
    • With over 2 million prisoners, USA is on the top of the chart for total number of prisoners, holding 23 % of total global inmate population on the planet. • 67 % of people released from prison are re-arrested within 3 years of their release. Why Meditation in Prison: Prisoners share common characteristics, although they differ in age and social background. Most of them are highly impulsive and have low self-control. Meditation gives people a conscious choice and chance to become aware and in control of their behavior. Kundalini Yoga & Meditation are magnificent shortcut to restoring power, harmony & energetic balance in the human body and living happy, stress –free, fulfilled life. Successful Examples of Meditation in Prison Meditation has brought to the American correctional system /the practice has also been successfully introduced in Mexico, Australia, as well as in US women’s prison/ a way out of the debate about how to administer change from the outside by giving directly to the inmate the responsibility and means to change from within. Outcomes of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation National researches conducted over a decade in the US, show that meditation the practices lead to : • Improved executive functioning: o Improved self-control and self-awareness o Improved attention skills • Reduced stress and anxiety: o Decreased anxiety o Decreased blood pressure • Reduced misbehavior/aggression • Improved attention skills and social skills • Increased positive emotions We believe integration of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation in Prisons will contribute to improved self-control, self-awareness and decreased levels of aggression of prisoners and future crime prevention!
