• Let Florida have same-sex the rights to get married
Is it fair to everyone in this world to hate against the LGBT community. Marriage and family should be privileged to everyone.

  • STOP VOTE SUPPRESSION
The cynical Republican effort nationwide to keep minorities and college students from voting must be exposed. Their rationale of combating voter fraud is unsupported by any evidence of significant voter fraud anywhere in the United States.

  • Make Election Day a Paid National Holiday
Electing the President of the United States is one of the most important events we participate in as free citizens of a democracy, and yet we have to "find time" to vote between job, parenting an other assorted responsibilities. If Election Day became a paid National Holiday, more citizens would have the opportunity to vote without the penalty of lost wages in the event of long election lines, bad weather, or employer intimidation. Our democracy will be more viable, because more citizens could participate, if Election Day were a paid National Holiday.

  • Change Congress & the Senate's benefit plan to Social Security
Take away the pension plan for Congresspersons and Senators and put them on the Social Security Plan. They pay into the plan the receive back the same amount as anyone else would based on their salary and amount of years in the system. Under the current plan both the Congresspersons and Senators plus their spouse receive benefits for the rest of their lives, even if they only served one term. Treat everyone the same.

  • No Taxation Without Representation
Currently the legal age to work is 14 years old, and many youth begin working around 16 years old. They pay taxes on their income and yet they are still unable to vote for policies which affect their lives and livelihoods. This goes against some of the basic principles which inspired the forging of our great nation. It's time to fix the voting age so that anyone who is paying taxes has a say in how they are spent through the democratic process. This will also have the added benefit of increasing the level of interest youth take in our elections and the democratic process and therefore hopefully increase the number of people who take part in each election. Studies show that those who start voting young are much more likely to continue to vote their entire lives. This can only benefit our nation. It's time that everyone that pays taxes had a say in how our taxes are spent.

  • GLBT/Religious Community Marriage Rights
Whether you call it religious, spiritual, God fearing, God loving, believers, or however else it's best identified for the individual; this community deserves to preserve Biblical standards. It is possible for the GLBT community to have equal legal rights from being in a union with one another, for tax purposes, work benefits, etc. without redefining marriage for all believers everywhere. God's Word does specifically state that marriage is between a man and a woman and was originally ordained for the purpose of reproduction. Let's respect and protect this specific union.

  • Economic Justice for all Americans
We are asking the United States Government to make good on the economic acts to empower black Americans and other races as they agreed to do. To save the American economy our government gave bail outs to save America's economy. We are asking for the American people to be bailed out of these hard economic times. As for the black nation of people living in America, we demand economic justice for 200 years of slavery, 120 years of seperate by equal laws and 47 years mass incarcerations and unjust laws, we demand that the economic playing field be equal and every family be given economic freedom in place of land ownership, that was to be given under the 40 acres and mule and other local laws that were not given.

  • Move the DNC convention out of NC
There are many Democrats who would like to attend the convention, but don't intend to give North Carolina their custom after the passing of Amendment One. Don't let the convention be about boycotts and bigots. Move the convention now.

  • Protest The Marriage Amendment
No religious belief should be able to amend the Constitution! The United States was founded on FREEDOM OF RELIGION and quoting scripture that belongs to one religious belief system and allowing that one religion to make amendments opens this country up for all sorts of amendments.

  • Preserve the Right to Vote
Republican state legislatures have enacted legislation, which Republican governors have signed into law, that will make voting more difficult for many citizens. The laws are directed against seniors, the disabled, students, immigrants and the poor.
