• ExxonMobil to drill in Arctic with Russian partner
ExxonMobil has plans to drill in the Arctic with a Russian partner Rosneft Oil, a target of U.S. sanctions. They have taken 20 billion of our tax dollars to help them. After the Exxon Valdez , Mayflower , Yellowstone River, Brooklyn and Baton Rouge oil spills, ExxonMobil has never demonstrated safety or remorse. I am asking Americans to boycott this dangerous and unconscionable corporation.

  • Walgreens: We don’t need you in Roseway
The Roseway neighborhood in Portland, Oregon has recently learned of your plans to build a drive-thru pharmacy at 7040 NE Sandy Blvd. We already have two full-service pharmacies within one block of this location, making this a clear case of market saturation. We are also a growing neighborhood, looking to create a pedestrian, cycling and transit friendly future. Your plans for a drive-thru are contrary to the kind of development that neighbors will support.

  • Boycott Arby's
Mr Dietl's views on two recent shootings have been solicited by Fox news Network. The shootings of subject were those of Trayvon Martin and most recently Mike Brown (both young men of color). Mr. Dietl's views on the incidents have been quite insensitive and display a huge lack of knowledge of a large enough segment of your customer base. My question is does Arby's view of these incidents match those of Mr. Dietl? If not why is Mr. Dietle still in your employ?

  • Rob Manfred: Use a United States manufacturer to produce MLB fan apparel
My husband and I are both huge baseball fans, and we try to only buy American-made products. When my husband wanted to buy a new Milwaukee Brewers hat this spring, he was disappointed and frustrated that one made in the USA was not an option. After researching the subject, it's clear that there are U.S.-based hat and t-shirt manufacturers would be viable candidates to take over production that would not cause a steep increase in apparel prices. Given the amount of products the MLB orders, the switch could possibly even create American jobs. America loves baseball; now it's time for baseball to return the love!

  • Members for a Koch-free Costco!
Billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch have used their wealth to fund numerous far-right wing advocacy and policy groups, conservative and Tea Party think tanks, and Republican and libertarian political action foundations. These organizations are highly offensive to many in the Costco membership. We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Costco Corp. discontinue carrying and distributing all Georgia-Pacific products.

  • A Historic Opportunity to End Predatory Payday Lending
Across the country, payday and car-title lenders extract billions of dollars a year from people who are struggling to get by. They do it with deceptive, triple-digit interest loans that trap people in a cycle of debt. Now, at long last, there’s a chance to do something decisive about it. That chance lies with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the new agency proposed by Senator Elizabeth Warren and created by the Dodd-Frank financial reform law of 2010. After extensive study, the CFPB is getting down to the task of writing new rules for payday and smaller dollar loans. Please join us in urging the CFPB to write effective rules to end the small-dollar debt trap once and for all.

  • The Chattanooga initiative
Comcast is one of the few companies that is essentially allowed to have a regional monopoly. They continue spiking their price for Internet while throttling speeds and charging ridiculous amounts for cable television services, providing absolutely horrific and downright insulting customer service. The only reason they do this is because they CAN! There is no competition. There is no "good guy." Google can only do so much with Fiber. Let's stand up and have our voices heard. We as a populace do not need to put up with this. Let's push back. Let's show them that a corporation can't push us around. Let's leverage our local governments and make a push to make this happen. It started in Chattanooga; let's continue it in the Denver/Boulder metropolitan areas and continue growing the movement!

  • Michelle Rhee joins the Board of Scott's Miracle-Gro - Boycott Needed
Michelle Rhee has a long history of implementing and endorsing educational strategies and reforms that have no basis in research. She has led the charge against public education and as such has hurt students and teachers. She has attempted to change the landscape of education for her own benefit and the benefit of her millionaire and billionaire friends. Her character is questionable and therefore she does not belong on Miracle-Gro's board. Miracle-Gro's products need to be boycotted until she is removed.

  • AT&T/T-Mobile: Schools are for Students NOT Cell Antennas
My son will be in second grade at Maya Lin School, one of the three schools in the school district that have cell antennas. The middle school he will go on to attend, Wood, also has cell antennas. I don't know if there is harm from the emissions from cell antennas, but I know I don't think it is worth the risk. I also don't like that the cell companies drafted contracts that they knew were illegal, and now it seems to me that they are using their fat wallets and threat of legions of lawyers to scare the school district from taking action. The International Association of Fire Fighters has put together a great report in their opposition to antennas/towers on fire stations: http://www.iaff.org/hs/Facts/CellTowerFinal.asp

  • Corporate Tax Evasion is Treason
Corporations in the U.S. enjoy many a huge number of benefits and protections by being here from the safety provided by our military to quality roads that allow them to easily transport their products to a consumer system to purchase those products to an educated labor force. It is not fair for them to avoid paying for some share of the costs of all these (and many more) benefits. We have all been affected by this skyrocketing trend as the middle class share of the tax burden continues to grow and the middle class to shrink. This is a crime against our nation.

  • Keep Koch Money Out
Tell right-wing billionaires our Universities are not for sale! (Corrected Link) The education of our youth and the shaping of our democracy should not be an "investment opportunity" for billionaires! Superpacs and dark money have already infiltrated our election process, as we've seen time and again in the wake of Citizen's United. Now, if that wasn't enough, right-wing billionaires like the Koch brothers are attempting to buy the hearts and minds of college students by investing tens of millions of dollars in donations to major universities in exchange for programs promoting their political agenda. That's why I signed a petition created by local MoveOn member Lesley Lillywhite to University of Arizona, President Ann Weaver Hart et al which says: "The University of Arizona (UofA) must be held to the highest standards. Compromising UofA's integrity—by accepting any money from the Koch brothers and/or their affiliated organizations—would make the UofA a hostage to these billionaires. Accepting dark money obligates universities to sanction the Dark Ages of the Koch brothers' agenda." Will you sign this petition? Thanks!
