• Corporations are not People
.Corporate manipulation in politics must end. Corporations are motivated purely by profit and growth and unlike people, have a potentially infinite lifespan. Corporation influence must end. We need radical reforms in campaign contribution laws, beginning with blocking the financial clout afforded to these entities.

  • Support Our President's Mission Not Drive to see him Fail...
Since Our President Obama's inauguration Republicans' only seemed to be focused with contempt and disdain and the drive to see Obama fail, void of the need to represent the Middle class Americans, but aligned only with huge Republican lobbyists and their corporations they represent.....

  • Get All Money Out of Elections
Our representatives do not represent the people any longer; they represent the corporations and the rich. As long as special interests pour money into the pockets of politicians, the politicians will do their bidding. All elections should be publicly financed. Only then will the people's best interest be at the forefront.

  • Save the Name Imperial Avenue-Do Not Change It!
We're calling to oppose that the name of Imperial Avenue is changed. Dismissing the name where 11 women were murdered at the hands of a serial killer would be dismissing the story of what happened there. This story needs to be remembered and not forgotten! It should be addressed so that healing can begin and a community can be restored from this tragedy.

we used to have duty on anything that came into thyis country. now that the ryan plan has a way for the rich and the corporations to move all their earnings off our shores a 10% duty on all imports would also pay for infrastructure. the american labor costs around 7% give or take a fraction of a percent. this would force the corporations to locate back in the u.s.

When I called to ask the breakdown they use to determine mostly auto rates,I was unable to get any satisfactory ANSWERS. Why,they do it for demerits showing a table of sorts so you know where stand if you are caught speeding etc.Why countnt this or something similiar be done with credit score critia.and also another question people should have answered (If theres a couple or family of drivers are they based on the best score or the lowest scoreor on individual scores of those drivers? And last do our rates go down with a improve score as fast as they go up when your score goes lower.what kind of studies were used to even set up something like this and maybe it woulb be nice to see if some auto etc issurers use a lower, less harmful scale or maybe no scale at all

  • US Constitution's definition of people
This is about the constitutional rights of people, or persons, as opposed to corporate and other legal entities. The people's rights have been betrayed by the recent legal re-interpretation of the definition of a person, by such cases as "Citizen's United". This petition re-establishes the definition of a person.

  • FRAUDCLOSURE STATE OF EMERGENCY
More than half a million homes are in foreclosure in California only, yet the banks have been bailed out again at the expense of homeowners and tax payers with the uninvestigated settlement made with the banks for forgery and mass "robosigning." The banks are incentivized three ways to profit from foreclosing rather than modifying and or refinancing struggling homeowners and families in this job crisis and the inflated housing market brought on by the mortgage back security scandal. The banks get our tax payer money to modify which they do not do, they get incentives from the private investors to forclose, and they get insurance money to foreclose as well. Not to mention the fact that they get a sort of "reset" button to register the properties properly this time with a new loan, they get our land and our life time investments and they steal our futures in every way.

  • Warning-Do You Have Savings, CD's or Interest Bearing Accounts?
Low interest rates on savings accounts. Failure to increase these rates will deplete the savings of millions of citizens. The result will be devasting to the middle class. Resulting in less spending and add to the recession.

  • Break up the mega banks
Mega banks such as JPMorganChase, Bank of America, and Citigroup were created via mergers of their smaller competitors these past 15 years. This gives the banking oligopoly/oligarchy a disproportionate economic power over the nation's banking industry. The credit crisis that started in 2008 was partly caused by the banks themselves. And the repeal of the Glass-Steagal Act in 1999 is also partly responsible. A break-up of these mega-banks would set a good example for the rest of the world, especially in high-finance.
