• End Citizen's United
In November 2010, Congress with Speaker Boehner in charge passed a bill called Citizen's United which allows corporations to donate unlimited funds to political campaigns. Political contributions made by corporations were once entirely illegal as recently as the Nixon administration, now unbounded. Until we fix this problem, corporations will have the greater say in the election process, many of them not even American corporations.

  • Contract with 99% to ban corporate political contributions
The greatest threat to American democracy is the 2010 Supreme Court decision banning limitations on corporate contributions to political campaigns in the name of free speach. The flood of corporate money has given corporations a megaphone to drown out the voice of the individual and thereby grants them ability to anoint our legislators and president.

  • Aren't we as Good as Mexico?
Walmart is now implicated in a $24,000,000 bribery network to purchase site approvals in Mexico. One may argue that such approvals are "traditional" or "immoral," illegal or corrupting, but, IN ANY CASE, they are more than they're paying in America for the same kind of access. Shouldn't they pay us as much as they pay in Mexico? We, after all, have a lot more money!

  • Clarksburg Town Center
Elm Street Development, which purchased the Clarksburg Town Center community for the price of one dollar, knowing there was an approved compliance plan in place that took over 7 years to negotiate, now says that they will not honor that compliance plan. We are calling on Elm Street to honor the compliance plan.

  • Railyard Relocation
With the prospect of increased coal transports through Missoula's city core and neighborhoods it is time to begin drawing plans to relocate the railyard presently located in Missoula's Downtown. Missoula will soon be Montana's largest city and having a heavy industrial operation within the city limits is not healthy or practical, environmentally or economically .

  • DoJ, Stop helping Amazon destroy its competition.
By forcing Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins, Macmillan, Penguin Group (USA), Simon & Schuster and Apple to abandon the agency plan (whereby a publisher sets the prices of its books and ebooks), DoJ allows Amazon to continue to sell below cost and thus destroy competition and become the publishers' only customer. The publishers are only defending themselves, authors and all booksellers against the Amazon leviathan.

  • Prosecute Banking Execs and SEC/FTC for the financial theft perpetrated on America.
The Banking Industry meltdown and the international recession resulted from their fraudulent practices and the failure of government oversight. Those fraudulent practices have been well investigated and documented. Former high-ranking officials from every sector of the banking industry and the SEC and FTC have testified to or documented what happened and who is culpable. Still, little reform has been made in the banking industry to protect us from another financial catastrophe. And the perpetrators remain at large, spending our money while we lose our homes and our life savings. Congress did little but a slap on the hand to the banking giants for their crimes. Nor have SEC and FTC officials been held accountable for looking the other way as our investments were embezzled. We cannot let Congress ignore this huge elephant in the room. Our economy cannot remain in the hands of criminals. Let the White House and Congress know by May 1st that this injustice must be vindicated.

  • American Express Giftcards
American Express sells giftcards that are next to impossible to use. To activate is difficult at best and there is almost no way to use the entire amount. Why? Sales associates and even managers can barely get around the difficulties set up by American Express. The more difficult the more likely the consumer is to give up, and every dollar not used American Express gets to keep.
