Public land belongs to the citizens of the United States. Why should they not profit from the oil and gas found there? Also pass a law that lateral drilling from off public land to under public land is prohibited.

The publishers are only defending themselves, authors and all booksellers against the Amazon leviathan.

The Banking Industry meltdown and the international recession resulted from their fraudulent practices and the failure of government oversight. Those fraudulent practices have been well investigated and documented. Former high-ranking officials from every sector of the banking industry and the SEC and FTC have testified to or documented what happened and who is culpable. Still, little reform has been made in the banking industry to protect us from another financial catastrophe. And the perpetrators remain at large, spending our money while we lose our homes and our life savings. Congress did little but a slap on the hand to the banking giants for their crimes. Nor have SEC and FTC officials been held accountable for looking the other way as our investments were embezzled. We cannot let Congress ignore this huge elephant in the room. Our economy cannot remain in the hands of criminals. Let the White House and Congress know by May 1st that this injustice must be vindicated.

American Express sells giftcards that are next to impossible to use. To activate is difficult at best and there is almost no way to use the entire amount. Why? Sales associates and even managers can barely get around the difficulties set up by American Express. The more difficult the more likely the consumer is to give up, and every dollar not used American Express gets to keep.

People with poor credit are not all irresponsible people, but are people who for whatever reason are having a difficult time making ends meet. Insurance companies should not be able to make life more difficult for this segment of the population by charging higher rates for insurance coverage on homes and cars.

It's about the truth, about exposing all the lies that have been ruining the political and moral ground of this country. It's time to educate the masses, stop letting the right wing media repeatedly put the President at risk, women as second-class citizens, minorities disregarded and hated, education censored, religious corruption, voter suppression. Lies, lies, lies. Freedom of speech should at least mean that the speech is factual. Is that too much to ask?

Why do US consumers have to settle for poisons in our food! Mexico, Britain and most modern countries do not allow US made food and beverage products with these harmful ingredients to be sold in their countrys. So WHY do we in US not have the same option?

The media is controlled by big corporations and should be fair and balanced. We need to bring in legislation to stop bias.

The US Bill of Rights does not read "We the Corporations," it reads "We the PEOPLE." A key element to the Citizen's United debate is the false notion that corporations are entitled to free speech equal to that of a US citizen. Many other perversions of democracy currently being asserted fall from this same false premise. A 'corporation' is >only< a hypothetical legal construct created for the purpose of organizing capital and managing business liability. Nothing more. This fact needs to be re-asserted in current political awareness.
