• abolish AMCs
Banks have taken control of the appraisal business to the detriment of the homeowner and the appraiser. The proud independent profession of appraisal has been undermined by the banks- they are making money off of the independent appraiser. No more meritocracy. The homeowner is totally ignorant of this fact at closing.

  • Corporations are not People and Money is not Speech
Our Supreme Court has over the line of partisan idealology from defending our Constitution. We have only begun to see the buying power of Super PACs and billionaire sugar-daddies. We the People can overturn the Court by a constitutional amendment to clarify the founders' intentions that corporations are not people and money is not speech.

  • Stealing taxpayer $ to fund campaigns
Currently a company owing past taxes can contribute to a camapign, recieve a reduced past tax settelment and profit from enacted legislation. This double dipping uses tax payer dollars to fund campaigns and should be illegal. If I owe 1Mil$, settle at $300,000, donate $200,000 and make profit on proposed legislation. This is how tax payers unwittingly fund campaigns and should be illegal.

  • congress needs to stop getting their marching orders from ALEC
We, the people are offended that our elected officials, both Democats and Republicans participate in "get togethers" with ALEC and their supporting corporations to receive "directives" for legislation in Congress. Our elected representatives should be writing their own legislation. And it should be for the betterment of their voters, not their corporate benefactors.

  • Paid Political Speech Must Provide Rebuttal
Since getting money out of politics is extremely hard, the goal of this idea is to help to level the playing field of paid political speech by forcing any add to buy equal time for a rebuttal.

  • Suspend all home foreclosures
The escalating avalanche of home foreclosures is not only displacing families, but also eroding all American neighborhoods and the economy. We demand that there be a moratorium placed on all home foreclosures until there is greater analysis, reorganization, and consideration of the ensuing consequences.

  • Plan B For Hay
To be delivered also to: Powys County Council, the Brecon Beacons National Park Planning Authority and the Welsh Assembly Government. We are convinced that a new second supermarket will detrimentally affect the economy of Hay-on-Wye’s small, and as yet intact Market Town. There are other proven and viable options to funding Hay-on-Wye’s proposed and much needed new school, and we are pursuing these with vigour as alternatives. However, there are just 1250 registered voters in Hay-on-Wye. We are a tiny, intact community with a fragile market and tourist economy - and no chain stores. Our High Street is precious and unique. We need your help to preserve it, and our way of life, now a rarity in Great Britain. Within a 4 mile radius of Hay-on-Wye, we delivered 3000 questionnaires (2 per household) to our local community and we now know that: 82% Agree that a new second supermarket will result in shops and local suppliers closing 75% Agree that a new second supermarket will result in people losing jobs 70% Agree that a new second supermarket will have a negative environmental impact on our town Please can you help us in our battle with big business over democracy? We cannot do this alone, we are just too small. DO PLEASE sign our petition…….! Many thanks

  • Obligation to voters Pledge
when asking for my support as a candidate for any office I will only vote for a candidate who is interested in finding common ground and working to remedy our problems and defend our constitutional rights. i will not vote for anyone who pledges to put his party or any narrow ideology before the needs of the nation and the people.

  • Save Progressive Talk Radio
Research shows 90% of news/talk is conservative and 10% is progressive. When progressive talk KLSD-AM (Air America) in San Diego was considering changing formats in 2007, the devoted listenership rallied and petitioned, but Clear Channel changed the format anyway. The listeners were devastated, and continue to have no access to liberal views on local, terrestrial radio. This is the case in many places in America. Radio stations are supposed to serve the public interest in exchange for their free licenses, access to our publically owned airwaves. The FCC has a mandate to ensure radio is competitive with diverse, local content but it is shirking its responsiblity to the detriment of our democracy. Furthermore, the Congress and President Clinton made a grave error in 1996 with the passage of the Telecommunications Act which allowed corporations to own an unlimited number of radio stations. To understand what happened, see the new documentary films, Save KLSD: Media Consolidation and Local Radio" and "Broadcast Blues".

  • Demand that airlines re-regulate change fees and policies
Since the deregulation, airlines have gotten away with charging customers random and inordinate change fees on existing tickets and imposing rules on the changes that leave most customers no choice but to either take a huge loss on a full fare economy ticket and/or rebook the ticket altogether.

  • Checking cashing fee
When a person writes a check, they are requesting their bank which holds a person's money, to pay a sum certain to another person (or entity). Sometimes banks violate the terms of the check by charging a service fee to follow the order. This violates the terms of the check. This is not the same as going to a bank that is not holding the funds.
