• Starbucks Co: Stop Pushing Corp. Tax Breaks At Your Stores
CEO Schultz is forcing his employees to lobby customers to support corporate tax breaks by writing "come together" on cups to "avoid the fiscal cliff" and "learn from" a corporate lobby, CEO-friendly group "Fix the Debt" which is for tax breaks for the rich.

  • Stop using Republican definition of "spending cuts" to mean only non-corporate benefits
We do need spending cuts. We also need a healthy social contract. Stop chipping away at only one end - the ability of working people to live healthy lives while continuing to pour our tax money into wealthy industries which do not need any help.

  • Write off All Veterans owned home
Based upon my dealing with Chase and Fannie Mae on my home for the last seven (7) years, And the fact that the national News claim banks are loosing monies on toxic homes, why not just allow the Banks to write off these home as any business transaction as a "Loss"? All businesses in America has this opportunity and utilize ite in their daily operation. Why not under this circumstances?

  • tax increases
Increasing taxes on those with limited resources for necessities while not increasing taxes on those who amassed fortunes off the backs of the masses are abominations and deterrments to financial stability.

  • tax increase
Taxing those who already have to make survival choices or have lost their homes, health care, etc. is an abomination as well as more deterrent to stability as is not increasing taxes on those who got their wealth off the backs of the masses with no concern for the devastating impact on this nation. No one gets anything all by him/herself without contributory factors from others.

  • Dismantle the Empire
The US is spending over $1Trillion per on our military industrial complex! It's a waste of our money. Cut the spending by 50% and use the savings to expand social programs. Increase benefits for SS, Medicare, etc.

  • Saving USPostal Workers' Jobs
Unemployment is too high in US. I'm a former United Parcel Service Teamster who thinks this action, though drastic, is manageable for all involved....It's a decent compromise for these Quasi-Public workers.

  • Tax the profits from the sale of violent media.
I propose a tax on profits from violent media such as movies and video games. The revenue raised could then be directed towards funding a national Mental Health initiative.

  • Overtime Tax Cut
My petition is about giving hourly paid workers an incentive for working extra hard. This will bring well needed tax relief for hard working Americans and will encourage great work ethics.

  • Saving Medicare, Medicaid, & Social Security.
Remove all caps on FICA taxes and make it a flat tax, equally taxed to all income levels and sources of income. The FICA tax has been one of the most regressive and unfair taxes in American History. It is taxed from the bottom up, with wealthy people paying a miniscule percentage of their income, while many working people pay a higher percentage of their income most of their working life.
