Mitch McConnell vowed in 2008 to make Barack Obama a one term president. Since then he has fought against the President in every effort to find compromise for our most pressing issues. He is getting paid, AND getting free health care while doing nothing to advance the needs of the American people. We don't need him in Congress.

Here's an idea. Take the median net worth loss percentage for those in the lower 90%. Now hold that number in your head. We're the United States of America. We help our neighbors when they're in trouble, right? I thought you'd agree. We all believe in shared sacrifice, right? Yeah, I thought you'd agree there too. The economy belongs to all of us, right? We're reading the same book, now. We know that banks got bailed out by the common taxpayer, as did Wall Street, the auto industry, and others. We also know that Main Street needs a hand. And that's not just individuals and households. That includes small businesses. Now we're on the same page. We have a simple, equitable, All-American wealth distribution proposal that offers more immediate relief for the common citizen, revitalizes the economy, and puts the country's best interests first.

Stop the Republicans complaining about a welfare state. Just raise the minimum wage to inflation, and take people who work hard out of needing aid.

A patriotic way to reduce the national debt.

Many of the most profitable CORPORATIONS PAY NO TAXES, while receiving huge TAX REBATES and SUBSIDIES and making POLITICAL CONTRIBUTIONS to lobby for even more tax benefits for themselves! We demand a minimum corporate income tax rate be imposed to balance the national deficit.

Under the current system some people lucky enough to still have savings and investments after the WallStreet disaster pay a much lower tax rate than people who work pay on their wages.

We need to get back the lost buying power that we had in 1975. This would be a terrific stimulus to our economy, and might even help some Wal-Mart employees get off food stamps.

Its time we show the President how much support he has in the coming battle with the republicans in the weeks to come.

Social Security is not part of the general budget. Social Security is funded with the payroll taxes people have paid into over their working life. Social Security is earned benefit and should be left off the table.

It's a conflict of interest for congress members who earn more than $250,000 to vote on ending the Bush tax cuts for those earning over $250,000, because it saves them money. Let only those few who earn less, to cast their vote.
