This is a major National Security issue along with being a travesty to the Middle Class during our current economic crisis. Our government should import tarriff on refined imported fuel products (gasoline, home heating oil, low sulphur diesel, jet fuel, etc) is needed is needed to create a "fair trade" instead of "free trade".

The state also ends up paying more in entitlements because the people can not get jobs. Now it comes around 10 am so no one can get a job that begins earlier.

Having an educated population strengthens our economy from within, but, so many of us can't afford a college education or, once we've gotten one, can't afford to both maintain a household and make student loan payments. Many people derive no significant benefit (or none at all) from the current tax regulations because, in order to be able to afford to make loan payments and also make a living (especially in urban areas where 79% of the country lives), we can exceed the income threshold specified in the tax regulations, and lose the benefit entirely. Let's acknowledge as a nation that education, just like office supplies and fuel for our cars, is a real business expense, and allow everyone who is either attending college or repaying their student loans to take 100% of their payments as a tax deduction.

Critics of the SMART Train and Pathway want to stop the project before it begins upgrading the track to carry 80-MPH passenger trains.
