Tired of watching carbon spewing trucks and commercial vehicles choke up the HOV lane during rush hours only because they have an extra passenger. Some of these vehicles get single digit gas mileages and it should not matter how many people are in them - If its not a mass transit vehicle or a regular passenger vehicle, it should be disqualified from the HOV lane.

Like many LA residents, I love to take my dog for neighborhood walks. Many times during the course of our daily outings, I not only see feces ( I thought there was a fine enforced), but I also see people spitting on the sidewalk-totally unaware that it too is a grotesque habit that is unhealthy. My dog actually stepped right in it the other day before I could redirect her. PLEASE ENFORCE A FINE!

asking all levels of government to consider green and natural power sources that reduce all risks especially those now understood by the Fukushima Power plant in Japan. The Goal: to stop all radioactive risks including adding more toxic barrels of radioactive materials to our caves, oceans and others etc..government officials should be tugging with pride on the oil companies to easily invest in these new technologies and stop their money campaigns to delay green and renewable energies. It is in everyones best interest to move forward with smart technologies that have zero or little residues. Our Earth Our children don't deserve this chaotic mess we have made in the name of convenience.

Drilling in the Arctic; The Keystone XL pipeline; Fracking in NY and other precious pure areas...will destroy this country's ability to recover its former status as a world leader. The ongoing wars this country is engaged in have destroyed the middle class, reinforced the stronghold that the military-indutrial complex has on the power structure of this country. We must change the priorities to SURVIVE!!!

Our erstwhile representatives, in all of their glory, found it in their hearts to exempt Southeastern PA from the hardships of drilling and yet continue to rape the land of both Northeastern ans Southwestern PA. what makes SEPA so special? Isn't the heatlth and welfare of the rest of the state just as important? Aren't our environment and watersheds worth protecting? Apparently NOT!!!

The mission of Rescue Great Bay is to work together to advance and foster public support for meaningful and immediate regulatory actions and sound management of the Great Bay estuary and associated marine resources consistent with the Clean Water Act and other environmental laws.

Tell Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda to permanently close all four nuclear reactors involved in the nuclear disaster. The Japanese people want the reactor site shut down but the Prime Minister will not listen to the thousands of protestors. The radioactive contamination has not been cleaned up and the facility is not safe to operate!

The Bill and Melinda Gates foundation continually uses their funds to support Monsanto. They need to stop supporting Monsanto and help those farmers support themselves, not buying seed and pesticides from a large and ethically questionable corporation.

Billions of plastic grocery bags are thrown away every day. Many end up in the oceans. Using the system of many European countries which is to charge 50 cents to a dollar for every bag would cause people to reuse their bags or get their own fabric bags, thus eliminating a huge percentage of this waste.

Our environment is under assault on many fronts, but one of the worst is Fracking, a process where tons of harmful chemicals and water (some unknown and proprietary) are pumped under extreme pressure several thousand feet under the Earth into the gas rich shale. There are practically no studies on the effects of this process on our drinking water aquifers. Think about this, of all the drinking water on Earth, only a fraction of a percent, out of 99%, is potable water. The gas industry is run by former Bush allies. People in Pennsylvania are being lied into giving the rights to their land to the gas industry by zealous lawyers who use deceit to convince these folks into signing complex legal papers, therefore, giving the gas industry the rights for up to 50 years. To put this all into perspective, the gas wells produce a lot of gas for about a year, and then it slowly leaks out of the shale for up to 50 years. It is only enough for America's gas needs for 3 and a half years. In the wake of this process, the gas producers leave huge pools of this toxic sludge in retaining pools, which they claim they will remove all of it. Nobody can remove it all without some being left in the environment. People in Pennsylvania cite creeks that move like Jellow under their feet, and in other states, people's drinking water is ignitable out of the tap. Local town officials have used electronic gas detectors that show a visual readout of the gases leaking from stations that pump the gas to its ultimate destination. Thereby adding more greenhouse gases into our atmosphere. Most of this gas is sent to other countries, and it is never used in America. I urge you to sign this petition.

We know Styrofoam does not biodegrade, is dirtier to produce, and is polluting our oceans and harming marine life. We should eliminate its use wherever and whenever possible. The egg industry caved to pressure years ago and went back to the use of cardboard. By signing this petition, we can make a difference again. If you visit Dunkin' Donuts, please demand they serve your coffee in a cardboard cup instead of Styrofoam.
