My son attends elementary school in Newark, Delaware, and I do not want to see him suffer the same fate as the Sandy Hook children. Repealing the Second Amendment, shamefully enacted to preserve slavery, will wash away this historical stain and put paid to assault weapons in the hands of mentally- ill gunslingers.

As they work for US, they need to feel and understand what their constituents are going through.

Congress too often votes for policies that rich lobbyists favor in order to get them to contribute to their re-election campaigns. Term limits reduces the number of re-elections and the need for re-election funding, stopping Congress from depending on rich donors and lobbyists (such as the NRA) to contribute to their re-election campaigns -- freeing Congress to vote using its conscience.

I would like to force Washington into term limits for Senators and Congressman to two terms.

The National Rifle Association, which used to be concerned primarily with gun safety, has turned into a tool for gun manufacturers to manipulate our legislators to their own benefit. And we the people are suffering for it. It's time to STOP the NRA and start protecting OURSELVES!

This petition is about making National elections more accessible to the working class and to the general public.

A million mother's marching on Washington can give Congress the courage and support they need to pass common sense laws to protect the rights of lawful gun owners and take them out of the hands of criminals. If life begins with mothers then we must lead this march! We can do this!

I am a parent of elementary students and a citizen concerned with general safety in our society. Because of the NRA's reckless positions our country is more unsafe. Please stop taking NRA money and think critically about their agenda so you can vote for common sense measures instead of voting for radical positions.

The mass shootings in Tucson, Aurora, and Newtown have prompted the American public to consider new legislation that will reduce the likelihood of these tragedies. However, the NRA has consistently stood in the way of common-sense regulations, often by pressuring the government to avoid taking a closer look at the real factors that are contributing to the national problem of gun violence. The group has also poisoned the debate about public safety, even to the point that they featured President Obama's children in an inflammatory TV advertisement. Given the urgency of solving the issue of gun violence, this violent and threatening rhetoric must be stopped.
