Assault rifles are weapons that have a potential to be deadly, and while they are expensive, they are the choice weapon of mass shooters as they do not have much recoil, making them easy for somebody under the age of 18 to fire. The purpose of this petition is to keep assault rifles out of the hands of people who should not have them, and prevent a shooting incident in New Jersey.

I feel very strongky about prootecting families and children in my community and the majority of wayne residents do not even know this is being proposed.

The government has been funded by big corporation and the NRA to be their puppet, and the working class like my family get nothing in return. Restoring our democracy should be protected, and our Constitution should be our goal and defeat those who opposes it. We must change America for the greater good.

We should be confident that people buying guns are not a danger to the public. This would be one step in reaching that goal. Our security and possibly our lives depend on it.

With the amount of lax gun control, continued shootings nationally and fear in families of both school children and teachers, anyone who is working for the NRA should be penalized. Stop supporting the NRA to get tougher gun control laws. If you do business with this company, know the NRA has been a loyal customer for over 20 years.

This month, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the Department of Justice settled a critical lawsuit. Forfeiting the case, they chose to allow blueprints for firearms--from pistols to assault weapons--to be posted online. Now, anyone with a 3-D printer and WiFi can make their own AR-15. This could mean convicted felons, domestic abusers, and terrorists can print guns with no background check and no consequence. Luckily, more than 21 state attorneys general are working to stop this. States from California to Massachusetts are suing the State Department to reverse their decision. Here in Florida, we understand the horrors of gun violence. As a high school senior in Orlando, I know it too. I remember donating blood in the wake of the Pulse massacre or frantically checking on my friends in Parkland this February. I know what it's like to live with the threat of gun violence lurking over my head. Ensure that Attorney General Pam Bondi joins this lawsuit, and defends Floridians' lives. Too much is at risk.

On August 1, 2018, felons, domestic abusers, terrorists, and anyone legally prohibited from possessing a firearm will be able to download plans to 3D print untraceable and undetectable guns, without a background check. This will immediately endanger students, those in abusive relationships, students, and targets of terrorism. While there are court proceedings working to stop this from taking effect, any permanent fix will require legislation. Join #NoRA in demanding Congress keep this downloadable death from happening.

My neighbors are being endangered by irresponsible pellet gun owners that get drunk and start shooting. Police have been called numerous times and they can't do anything because the laws tie their hands. It feels laws are protecting the criminals rather than decent, law abiding citizens that just want to live in peace. Robbing us of peaceful enjoyment of our homes.

I am a loving aunt to three school-age children who became deeply alarmed about their safety following the shooting in Parkland. As a result of that tragedy, I became a passionate activist for common sense gun regulation. and formed the Musicians Against Gun Violence Super PAC.
