• Repeal second amendment
Saving lives is what this petition is about. Our legislators appear to be unwilling/unable to even take baby steps to protect Americans from our guns. Maybe they will see we mean business because we are sickened by the carnage even if they aren’t.

  • Stop the Carnage!
Americans have become disenfranchised from protecting the children of our great nation and it’s time for everyone to stand up and stop the carnage! I have never had children but I vigorously support the right of our children to wake up and go to a safe school and learn without fear or trepidation!

  • Let's Pass Firearms Insurance Now
I'm tired of thoughts and prayers. I'm tired of inaction. I'm tired of seeing children murdered. I'm tired of seeing my neighbors murdered at movie theaters and concerts. I'm from a military family and know about responsible use and ownership of guns. Let's change this.

  • NRA To Pay Funeral Costs
As an American mother, I object to the fact that since Trump's inauguration, more school children have died, than soldiers, and that their already financially struggling parents have to suffer thru grief AND pay funeral/hospital bills.

  • Stop Gunshows at the Ventura County Fairgrounds
A network of anti-gun activists has asked the Ventura County Fairgrounds board to stop hosting gun shows. We are concerned about the influence that billboard marketing and the gun shows themselves have on our communities. The majority of the fair board does not agree. It's time for the Ventura County Fairgrounds to stop hosting gun shows. No State agency should promote and profit from the proliferation of firearms. (Thank you Cow Palace activists!) Background: Five gun shows are hosted every year at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, a state-owned property run by board members appointed by the CA governor. The fairgrounds are owned and managed by a division of the California Department of Food and Agriculture. Each show features hundreds of tables where firearms are bought, sold, and traded. The gun shows are also marketed to children -- admission free for children under age 12.

  • Demand Action To Fight Gun Violence
As young people, we bear the biggest burden from gun violence, regardless of our political leanings. Bullets don’t discriminate between Democrats and Republicans when they are flying through the air in a school, a neighborhood, or a church. Oftentimes, it is our friends, brothers, and sisters who are hurt or killed when these bullets find their targets. Our generation is building a national coalition of old and young, rich and poor, across all races and ethnicities, who are fed up with the constant stream of tragedies that have occurred due to a failure of our elected officials to take action. We need these bills to be brought to the table to usher in new laws that defend our Constitutional rights, preserve our liberties, and protect the lives of our fellow citizens.

  • Make our kids feel safe again
On April 20, 2018 a child was shot sustaining non- critical injuries at Forest High School on the same day there was said to be a fire arm on the campus of West Port High where my daughter attends school, whether there was or wasn't a firearm remains unconfirmed. Metal detectors and increased security would have prevented both of these issues. Children are scared to go to school and parents are equally scared to send them. Our children's safety must be a priority.

  • Minnesota: More Expansive Background Checks
I want to feel safe in school, and I can't do that while people are able to buy weapons of war. Universal background checks are a start to ensuring youth safety in our state.

  • We Stand With The Majority: Pass Laws to Prevent Gun Violence Now
Here in Delaware, our General Assembly is on the precipice of passing common sense reforms to prevent gun violence, but we need your help. We can't let the voices of a clear majority be drowned out by a loud few who oppose any and all gun violence legislation. We need to make sure our governor and the General Assembly know that Delawareans stand with our fellow Americans on these critical reforms.

  • Require Congress and White House to only carry clear plastic bags to stop gun violence
As one parent, Julie Shinn, wrote on Twitter: "If we're not going to do anything about our lax gun laws, then my son needs a bullet proof backpack, not a clear one." The clear backpacks will serve as a daily reminder to students that our nationally elected members of Congress and White House occupants refuse to take meaningful action to stop mass murders caused by guns. If the kids have to carry around these clear bags, it only seems fair that those in Congress and White House should, too. The March For Our Lives organizers are asking for: Passing a law to ban the sale of assault weapons, prohibiting the sale of high-capacity magazines, closing the loophole in our background check law for online and gun show purchases. Until these demands are met, we should ask Trump, Pence, Ryan, McConnell, and the entire Congressional and White House staff to be required to only use clear backpacks. Really, it's for their own safely. Sign the petition.
