  • Tell Lawmakers to Pass a Law Making Cures Available to the Public.
A thousand people die everyday in the US waiting for an Organ. Yet a cure exists, and has existed since at least 2006 and is being kept from the people who need it most; these deaths ruin lives, tear families apart, bankrupt our middle and lower classes and significantly increase spending out of our programs like Social Security and Medicare. All of which is unnecessary.

  • Step Therapy FAILS Us!
Take a New York minute and make your NY voices heard on an important health care issue that impacts our ability to receive the most suitable treatments. Let your NYS Legislators know that Step Therapy/First Fail protocol delays patient access to medications, creates more obstacles for patients and physicians to overcome, denies continuity of care, and FAILS all of us.

  • Governor Scott:Let Medicaid Monies Follow The Patient
This is a call to Florida Governor Rick Scott and Florida's State Legislature to propose legislation calling for Medicaid monies to follow the patients and NOT the patients following the monies, often times institutionalizing American Citizens to Long term nursing facilities and Assisted living facilities which is a clear violation of the American Disabilities Act.We would ask for monies to follow the patient allowing for home care in the community in a non institutionalized setting and programs to assist with the transition(Emergency rental assistance with Security deposits for Housing,Disabled rental assitance,Utility deposits and payments).Florida Needs to take care of its most vounerable citizens.

  • Medicare Prescription Plan Penalties
When I retired in 2008, I was not told that the Medicare Prescription Plan was mandatory and I would be assessed penalties for not signing up. I was not on any medication at that time and saw no need to pay premiums to the insurance companies that I did not need. When I signed up with Medco in 2012, I was assessed a penalty for the period between 2008 and 2012. I feel this is very unfair. Especially since the amount they pay for prescriptions does not decrease my cost. By the way, I was paying 100% for any prescriptions I needed in that 4 year period. On a fixed income, it is very difficult to pay for all of these insurance premium and still have to pay the same amount for my prescriptions that I was paying before I signed on to the prescription paln.

  • Explicit advertising for mens sex drugs on TV.
The continuous TV advertising of mens sex drugs, especially for cialis and also viagra are so offensive. Then we know they are paid for by the costly prescription prices poor people must pay for drugs. The drug companies actually spend more for advertising than they do on medical research.

  • Stop explicit men's sex drug advertising on TV.
Television advertising for sex drugs for men come on MSNBC so often, it makes me SO angry. The allesis especially is so graphic and disgusting especially if I have sat down to eat my dinner in front of the TV. AND I know how much it costs and where the money comes from, the poor people's terribly high prescription costs! The drug companies actually spend more money advertising than they do in research!
