• Attain Full Employment Fast
The goal is to get the US government to use this simple new type of economic plan, fully displayed at ( www.econostan.com/8701.html ), to relieve unemployment. It will jump start the economy, quickly produce full employment, and reduce the national debt, with no inflation. Plan Summary: RAISE business taxes for 3 years by suspending business tax code advantages and simultaneously giving the businesses tax credits roughly equal to the tax increase IF they expand or modernize their US business. Business heads will put their money into their businesses rather than pay taxes so they will have to hire to get the tax credit. New employees spend more than when they were unemployed so demand increases. Businesses expand so they can supply more (and earn more). So the ratio of supply to demand stays roughly the same and therefore prices do also. National Debt is unchanged since no government money is spent. If the tax credit is unused then spend the tax receipts on infrastructure.

  • Marco Rubio: Stop Playing Politics with Immigration Reform
Recently, TIME Magazine called Marco Rubio “The Republican Savior” and said that he is “the key player in his party’s efforts to make up to Hispanic voters.” But instead of using his newfound political power to pass immigration reform, Rubio is imitating anti-immigrant members of Congress like Jeff Sessions, and is slow-walking the process in order to use the spotlight for his own political ambitions. Last weekend, Rubio wrote a letter asking the Chairman of the Judiciary Committee to slow down immigration reform--a move that could end up killing the process altogether. If Senator Rubio is the Republicans’ last hope with immigrant voters, then he needs to do more than play political games with our future. Tell Senator Rubio that we are onto him. We need a leader who's willing to put our community ahead of his own political agenda.

  • Immigration reform must create a pathway to citizenship for women
As you read this, eight senators--all men--are writing an immigration reform bill. That's good--we need a bill introduced immediately. But we need to make sure it is fair to women and includes the millions of immigrant women and children in this country. Email the “Gang of Eight” senators today and tell them that even if no women participated in drafting it, the bill they introduce must do right by women. It’s a simple message: immigration reform MUST create a pathway to citizenship and MUST treat women fairly. Here are some of the ways a new immigration reform bill could make things worse for women and families: Tying a path to citizenship to proof of work, leaving out stay-at-home moms or women who perform domestic work in the paperless economy. Failing to provide safe ways for victims of domestic or workplace abuse to report these crimes. Increasing work visas, which overwhelmingly go to men, while providing fewer family visas, which overwhelmingly go to women. Leaving the backlog of 4.3 million family members, mostly women and children, waiting for decades to be reunited with those currently in the United States and closing off certain types of family immigration altogether. The Gang of Eight legislation will set the conversation moving forward. Unless we make our voices heard, this bill could include provisions that bias the law against women and children. Email the “Gang of Eight” senators today. Then tell your friends to join you.

  • Demand California's Republican congressmen support real immigration reform.
Our immigration system is broken. It's forcing our friends and neighbors to live in the shadows. Reducing economic growth. And making the American Dream a criminal offense. With 90% of Californians supporting a pathway to citizenship, our state must lead the way on immigration reform. Rather than relying on votes from House members in Mississippi or Iowa, California's 15 Republican members of Congress must provide those votes. Not only does immigration reform make sense from a moral perspective, but study after study shows that legalizing the aspiring citizens all around us will increase economic growth by as much as $1.4 trillion. Help California's GOP congressmen realize their political lives will be in danger if they're on the wrong side of this issue.

  • Sen. Murkowski and Sen. Begich: Support immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship
We ask Sen. Murkowski and Sen. Begich from Alaska to support a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million immigrants currently living in the United State without papers. Most of these immigrants have lived in this country for more than a decade and have come to America to seek a better life for their families. They are Americans-in-waiting who are ready to fulfill the requirements of our citizenship process - to study English, pay taxes, maintain a good record, and be of good moral character. Instead of focusing only on the border, we need a new approach that is better for families and makes more economic sense.

  • LGBT undocumented people need you to come #out4citizenship!
With over a quarter of a million people in the U.S. who are both LGBT and undocumented, immigration reform that includes a roadmap to earned citizenship would be a monumental achievement in the fight for LGBT equality. Progress is being made on Capitol Hill toward advancing a bipartisan bill that would lift 11 million undocumented immigrants out of the shadows. Right now, we need LGBT voices to come out and build momentum for immigration reform that is inclusive for LGBT immigrants and their families. Make your voice heard: come #out4citizenship and sign our pledge. Visit www.out4citizenship.org for more information.

  • Work to fix a broken immigration system!
American society has grown complacent with relegating to pariah status a shadow work force and population that today numbers 11 million people. This is unacceptable. This is immoral. This goes against the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence.

  • Senators McCain and Flake: Comprehensive Immigration Reform Now for the 11 Million
My name is Reyna Avila and I live in Phoenix, AZ. I am a student at Phoenix College. I am one of the thousands of DREAMers granted Deferred Action here in Arizona. I was only eight months old when my mother and father made the heart-wrenching choice to leave their own families behind to make a new life and to work for a brighter future for me here in the U.S. They have worked every day of their lives to provide for me and my three brothers and sisters, who are U.S. citizens. Thanks to their sacrifice, I have grown up a strong person, I have seen all they have been through, and I want to achieve more and do more, to honor them. Everything I am, I owe to my parents. They are my heroes. Now it's their turn. For my undocumented parents, for so many undocumented parents and families trying to stay together, we need real immigration reform. I am asking Senator McCain and Senator Flake, through this petition, to do what is right for Arizona, and take action NOW to create a transparent and accessible path to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented men, women, and children in our country. The time is now. Will you join me by signing this petition?

  • Remove Rep. Don Young as chair of the Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs
After hearing Alaska Representative Don Young speak in such cavalier terms about the migrant workers employed on his family's ranch--"We used to hire 50 to 60 wetbacks to pick tomatoes”--we call upon you, Speaker Boehner, to remove him from his assignment as chair of the Subcommittee on Indian and Alaska Native Affairs. He clearly lacks both the professionalism and diplomacy required for any leadership position, particularly one which requires empathy for the dignity of others.
