yes it has affected me because i see a lot of families separated by the deportation that immigration does.if immigration did not separate the families,ther would not be so many kids abandoned and living in the foster homes. where the goverment invert,s millon,s of dollars.in one responsability that correspond,s to those parent,s that been deported.to ther country origin.because of that it is urgent to have immigration reform.with equality for everyone now that united states need,s the espanic hand.

We need Sen. Graham to support a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million immigrants currently living in the United State without papers. President Obama's Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program was started to allow undocumented youth brought to this country as children (DREAMers) to come out of the shadows and apply for legal protection from unwarranted deportation (as well as state drivers' licenses). Unfortunately, North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory is using this opportunity as a way to remind DREAMers that he thinks they are second-class Americans who should be publicly branded as such. Instead of giving approved applicants standard drivers' licenses, McCrory is instructing his state DMVs to issue special pink licenses with the phrase "NO LAWFUL STATUS" across the front. This type of discrimination hearkens to ugly separate-and-unequal days of North Carolina's past, and should have no place in the 21st century. Sign our petition to tell Governor McCrory to reverse his decision and stop discriminating against DREAMers in his state.

Cubans are getting preferential treatment on the path to citizenship. Not only is this wrong, I believe that it is unconstitutional. I believe that even some of our more conservative friends may agree.

My wife of ten years is a disabled stroke survivor and depends on me to care for her. Homeland security has demanded she leave the USA where we own a home. I have filed a I-130 application for a green-card and need for my wife remain in the USA while she waits for the visa to be approved.

18-year old DREAMer Jessica Bravo was visiting Rep. Dana Rohrbacher (R-CA) last week to talk about immigration reform. The congressman, a powerful man three times her age, told her “I hate illegals,” and threatened Jessica and her family, shouting at her “I know where you live!” No matter what Rep. Rohrabacher thinks about immigration reform, what he did was just plain wrong. As Speaker of the House, the buck has to stop with John Boehner. He needs to make clear whether he stands against this behavior or will tacitly endorse it.

Stop spending Department of Justice dollars to criminalize the poorest of the poor and most vulnerable people seeking the American Dream. While DOJ spends $10,000.00 a day prosecuting people who enter the United States without permission, the Courts have to make deals with drug runners and human traffickers. In December 2009, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals held that Operation Streamline’s group hearings in Tucson violate federal law. Courts have ruled that the assembly-line hearings in Operation Streamline violate Rule 11 on Due Process Requirements and the Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution on Probable Cause. New prisons have been built in 3 states to handle the high rate of "convictions." Private prison corporations have gained $5.5 BILLION since 2005 for housing these voiceless immigrants in deplorable conditions; indeed they are the only people who profit from Operation Streamline. Yet, Operation Streamline continues processing 400 to 650 persons a day in 2 -3 hour court sessions, Monday through Friday in Yuma and Tucson, AZ; Las Cruces, NM; El Paso, Laredo, Del Rio, Brownsville and McAllen, TX. And now, there is discussion of expanding Operation Streamline from its current 8 locations to all locations on the southern border of the United States BEFORE comprehensive immigration reform can get started.
