The number of unarmed civilians and suspects dying by the same people who are supposed to "protect" and serve is becoming unbearable. Police officers should get the maximum penalty for killing anyone who is unarmed.

Corey Stingley is my son, and our family wants justice and the people who murdered him put into prison for their crime. Corey was attacked by three adult male customers and murdered after he returned some merchandise he was thinking about shoplifting once confronted by the store manager about having the items in a bookbag. The defendants choked Corey to death after he returned the merchandise.

"It is kidnapping," said the girl's father, Lou Pelletier. "It's beyond any wildest nightmare that you could think of." The clinical psychologist known by the family says, "It's the most bizarre situation ... I've ever been involved with."

Politicians, Law enforcement, and many others enjoy absolute immunity from suit for their wrong actions that result in harm to another person or group of persons. This statutory immunity prohibits an injured party from seeking redress for injuries sustained as a direct result of the actions of the person who has been granted immunity under that law. Thus creating a class or group of select persons who are declared by law to be above the law and free from either prosecution or suit solely on the basis of their position or office. This blanket immunity by law directly contradicts the constitutional precept that "all men are equal," and cannot be allowed to stand unchallenged within a democratic society.

INJUSTICE! MY SON WAS MURDERED AFTER A PHYSICAL/VERBAL CONFRONTATION BETWEEN THE TWO. MY SON EXITS FIRST AND MR. JONES EXITS THEN SHOOTS HIM. HE RUNS FOR FIVE MONTHS AND 11 DAYS BEFOE BEING CAPTURED.

On October 25th 2013 my best friend, 33-year-old Shawntah Eierdam was murdered in Youngtown AZ by 39-year-old Jose Sotelo (who later turned the gun on himself). My friend was killed because Jose Sotelo, a former boyfriend of Shawntah's, because his obsession and rage when he found out Shawntah was hanging out with another man at her bosses house. There was a history of domestic violence and harassment by Jose. If there was an order of protection, Shawntah would probably still be alive today. I am proposing, the "Shawntah's Law", were an order of protection to be automatically issued if anyone is charged with assault or domestic voice (or similar) offense. And served by the arresting officer. This way the victim has automatic protection from the alleged attacker.

I have been told that you can't do anything to a person who is following you everywhere, drives back and forth at your work and sits outside where ever you are watching you. Your driving and look behind you and there he is. Calls or textes you way more then is needed. even follows your friends. Well I want to change the stalking law. A woman or man should not have to be hurt or killed for it to be illegal to do theses things. No one deserves to live their lives in fear because of a stalker.

My son was sexually abused when he was eight years old by a sitters son, he dealt with guilt and shame for 10 years but said nothing about this until he was contemplating suicide at the age of eighteen. By the time my son had the courage to tell what had happened to him,the statue of limitation had run out and he could not prosecute the person who did this. My son was robbed of his innocence and his childhood was destroyed, today he still has a hard time living a normal life. No child should have to endure what he did but even worse then this the person who did this should not get away with what he did. Please support this petition, it might be too late for my son but may help another child going forward.

The wrongful prosecution abuse of power and retaliatory acts by ATF,IRS and United States Prosecutor and its Officials.Abuse of power by the Government, allowing Government to violate our Constitutional Rights. Both Ralph and Tammy were convicted on charges of Doing Business with out a firearms license,under reporting taxes.Our goal is to protect each and every citizen from becoming a victim of Government abuse. As torture survivors flee for their lives, most of them carry the heavy weight of multiple and cumulative traumas in addition to the on-going traumatic experiences that can be associated with being a refugee. Receiving asylum in the United States can be a lifeline to safety and provide a path to healing. However, when asylum seekers arrive at a U.S. border or port of entry, they are frequently shocked at the treatment they endure upon reaching a perceived destination of safety and protection, as they are arrested, shackled, and confined. Due to the long-term impacts of torture and trauma, the fact of being detained at all is often retraumatizing for survivors of torture. Further, particular elements inherent in the detention experience—including a profound sense of powerlessness and loss of control—may recapitulate the torture experience. Beyond this, the indefinite nature of immigration detention is a blanket over it all, contributing to severe, chronic emotional distress. In less than three years – from October 2010 to February 2013 – the United States detained an estimated 6,000 survivors of torture as they were seeking asylum protection. Given the extreme hardship, particularly in light of less expensive and more humane alternatives, survivors of torture should not be detained. Once detained most asylum seekers do not have access to legal information and representation. Only 14% of the asylum seekers in immigration detention have access to the legal orientation program (LOP) or some form of legal assistance. Most of the asylum seekers including torture survivors forced to represent themselves and some lose their legal battle and deported to the country where they were tortured or persecuted. There are important steps that the Department of Justice can take to mitigate the harmful impact of detention on survivors of torture and improve the immigration detention system overall, including: • Expand the Legal Orientation Program to serve all detention facilities used by ICE and guarantee that all immigrants in detention receive a legal orientation Program as soon as possible; and • Establish systems for government-funded counsel for survivors of torture and other particularly vulnerable immigrants in detention.
