Investigate & Prosecute Bush Officials for War CrimesFor eight years, senior officials within the George W. Bush administration had knowingly and wilfully commmitted crimes against humanity. They have violated the U.S. Constitution and the Geneva Convention Accords by lying the U.S. government into war with Iraq, allowed torture to occur under their watch, illegally spied on American citizens' telecommunications such as e-mails and cell phone calls without a warrant as an excuse for "national security policy", and commited treason by revealing the identity of a covert CIA operative, Valerie Plame-Wilson, as a means of political retaliation. Today, these felons are walking free and doing book tours and speaking at lavish, high-paying events when they should be arrested, investigated, given a fair trial and prosecuted for their crimes against humanity. These Bush administration officials have snickered at the face of justice and have damaged the reputation and influence of this once-great nation. Something must be done to preserve the "rule of law"!9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Carlos J. Echevarria

Gov. Rick Scott: Stop Mass IncarcerationWhy is there is a decrease in inmate incarceration and the Private Prison Industrial Complex is increasing purchases of private prisons? Florida Dept of Corrections statistic: On average, there were 56,088 inmates in Florida's county detention facilities during the month of November 2011. In comparison, in November 2010, there were 58,694 inmates incarcerated by county facilities in Florida. This is a 4.4% decrease from last year. From BlackAgendaReport.com: Yet, the Corrections Corporation of America, is on a buying spree. With a war chest of $250 million, the corporation, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, this month sent letters to 48 states, offering to buy their prisons outright.11 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Maria Hernandez

Decriminalize MarijuanaThe U.S. spends too much time and money 'busting' 'pot-heads' and would be better served to decriminalize and tax the use of Marijuana.17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Vincent Sexton

punish the torturersThe President has wrongly said "We are looking forward and not backward." If that had always been the rule, no criminal could ever be punished because a crime is immediately in the past. We could not have punished the criminals at Nuremburg. The people who authorized and advised torture must be arrested and put through the court process. We executed Japanese officers for waterboarding in WWII, and our waterboarders should at least see the inside of a prison cell.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Will Cavanaugh

Purge the Prisons of Harmless InmatesU.S. citizens are paying a large part of their taxes on keeping people in prison. United States leads the world in sheer numbers of prisoners and in prisoners per capita. It's especially sad that more than 70 percent of the prisoners in the U.S. are non-whites. What's worse is that a very large number of those we incarcerate are not a physical threat to people. There are better ways of discouraging most of the prisoners from being repeat offenders. Why should hard-working taxpayers be picking up the tab for housing, feeding, dressing and giving medical care to white collar criminals, tax evaders, recreational drug users and to hundreds of thousands of "lifers" who have long since learned their lessons? Everyone should want to sign this petition to demand that federal, state, county and city officials and legislators begin the process of purging the prisons and jails of non-violent offenders.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Don Ray
